Hmm, I only bought one thing, but didn't notice any conversion issue on my purchase. I have always used Paypal for BF purchases.

And I guess between now and June, I need to find a way to purchase as much stuff as far out as BF will let me. I'll certainly be renewing my sub through 2020. Same, as far as figuring out how to purchase more stuff before the prices go up. Unless they add more releases in the main range, there aren't enough for me to buy another sub. Actually, there are enough upcoming releases beyond what I've subscribed to for me to subscribe for another year. But the website is not letting me do it. It's making start from one release prior, which would mean I'd have to buy one release twice to make a sub. (It's almost worth it to do that, considering how much it will cost when the price switches from the 1:1 pricing for downloads, but I don't see why I should pre-order a release twice when there are enough future releases for me to buy a 12-month sub with no overlap.)

Do we have a date for when BF is planning to end the 1:1 conversion rate for downloads?
As I recall, Jason gave a vague "about 2 months" when he commented on it on the podcast.

As I understood it he said something about end of May? June but again not a definite date May is when they should let us know that I'd hope.

Actually, I got a very nice email from Cheryl in sales saying it was working for her to start a MR sub from release #264. Still not working for me, though. I've emailed her back.

So I can’t listen to these, they are far too rambling and silly. Can anyone paraphrase what they said?

So I can’t listen to these, they are far too rambling and silly. Can anyone paraphrase what they said? It was at the start but basically the sender understood the need for a price change but purposed a Netflicks type Sub service to which Nick replied it wasn't cost effective . same with streaming services. Also despite online speculation BF aren't swimming in profit and the high class of Actors they get, do it for very little money and while the Exchange rate price will bite overseas customers it could now be considered fairer overall.

That's not exactly what I heard. Though, to be fair, Nick rambled a lot (as per usual. ) He said some of what you are saying, but I didn't hear a suggestion that sounded anything like a Netflix type of sub service. The email letter was suggesting a premium membership that would include a discount on downloads, and Nick said it was something they could look into without committing to the idea particularly. That doesn't sound at all like Netflix, as Netflix allows unlimited streaming for all their content for the price of membership, not a discount per each show you watch. Though, frankly, the membership price that the email writer was suggesting was higher than I'd be willing to pay, I think, depending on what the conditions of the membership would be. The part Nick said wasn't cost-effective was selling the releases for syndication to radio broadcasts outside the UK, because they want a lot of content for a very small amount of money.

Still not working for me, though. I've emailed her back. I've received an email today from a different person at Big Finish saying it worked for her to start a sub from release #264. I am still getting a message saying I can't start a sub with that release number. I sent her a screen shot. Just for the heck of it, I tried starting a sub with release #263 and noticed that I get this unhelpful screen: Basically, 12 generic covers with no release numbers, so no way at all to tell if you are getting the releases you think you are getting. I've sent that screen shot along to BF as well.

Oh, and I just realized she asked me if I was selecting a "pre-order subscription". Such a sub exists for CDs only, not for the download subscription I'm trying to purchase. You can pre-order a CD subscription from the main range release I'm trying to start with (#264), but not a download subscription.

Are you trying for a DL Only Sub starting with NO 264? because I agree at the moment you still can't do that [CD Sub works fine though]

On the old site, it would give you the release numbers, even if the covers were generic. I'd prefer that level of detail. And, yes, I'm trying for a DL sub. Not possible. Only a CD sub is possible from that release.

Ironically, I got an email notifying me of the release of The Moons of Vulpana and encouraging me to "SAVE MONEY WITH A 6 or 12 MONTH SUBSCRIPTION TO THIS RANGE!" I would if I could...
