Been a while... Have we had any updates on whether this is coming into effect in August this time? Or is it being deferred again for a while longer?

None that I'm aware of. Pure speculation, but I wonder if they have a few more surprise DW-related projects that they're waiting to announce first so they can try to encourage as many pre-orders as possible before the price adjustment.

They might wait till the anniversary celebrations are over... Yup. And I will keep preordering everything I can before they make whatever changes they are going to.

They might wait till the anniversary celebrations are over... Or given their history of public relations gaffs - they will announce it halfway through their marathon YouTube stream.

They might be a bit inept with public relations, but somehow I cannot imagine them doing this on purpose. It is however possible they might accidently say something during some heated interviews or similar- which might end in the typical manner...

I have a funny feeling it ain't gonna happen just yet!!!! the more Boris talks about no deal, the more likely the £ is to crash. It's not a good time for anyone to be making decisions about pricing in other currencies
perhaps this is part of the reason why it has gone silent on this subject

As of today
1 Euro equals 0.92 Pound Sterling.
And the way Boris is going, soon there will not be a difference!!

I think lidar was onto something with his guess... who knows where this is going and who in their right mind would even dare to make any economical predictions?

The selfish part of me is hoping the pound tanks - cheaper (or at least, on par) Big Finish, an affordable vacation to the UK I've always wanted to do but which has been prohibitively expensive, etc. I know it'd be pretty lousy for a lot of you though

I am not sure how long BF or even the BBC (and with it the whole franchise) would survive if the currency tanks and we all (this certainly won't be a localized event and we on the continent would feel it too) would get dragged into another crisis. No idea if even the UK as we know it will survive a hard Brexit.
You might laugh the danger in the face, but I am pretty apprehensive about the situation.

Out of curiosity (and not trying to detract from what is a potential disaster for the UK), how did Big Finish fare in the last Global Financial Crisis/Recession?

Oh, no — you are absolutely correct. I said the selfish part of me. I wouldn’t wish this current disastrous state of affairs on our UK-based friends, much less how much bad it’ll be if and when the Tories crash and burn out of the EU. This is a nightmare scenario already, I don’t want it to get worse.
