I was just browsing the various DW ranges on the Big Finish website and noticed that the release date for The Early Adventures: The Isos Network is now listed as January 2016. Did I miss an announcement for this??

There has been no announcement so far, but it's also showing as January 2016 in the "Ordered but not yet Released" section of my account, and that has changed since this morning. Announcement due soon?
Cheers

It's the Early Adventure I'm least excited for. Unnecessary sequels, yay.

Well that's unfortunate. It's never great when stuff gets delayed. Hope it's nothing too serious.
Now one less month between this last Early Adventure of the set and the next Companion Chronicles release though, so there's that.

EDIT
BF FB Post Reply confiming delay
we've moved the release back to allow it a little extra time in the post-production process – meaning the Cybermen's latest invasion will sound more explosive than ever!

Well, this is a shame. On the other hand, The Second Doctor doesn't step behind the curtain for a little longer....

It's the Early Adventure I'm least excited for. Unnecessary sequels, yay. Is it really that unneccessary, though? The Early Adventures aim is to expand upon sixties Who - and the Cybermen were a landmark of the Second Doctor's era, so it makes sense for the second series to end on such a story.

Really the only thing I have on order for January is the River Song box. A bit sad it's delayed but I can wait till January.

Well, they've thus far refrained from pitting One against The Daleks is any of their First Doctor audios, so I wouldn't say the Cybermen are really necessary, per se... They could have easily done the triumphant return of Salamander, or the revenge of The Macra, or Ice Warriors, or Yeti, or something. But yeah, I'm not terribly bothered about it, but I was definitely more excited about the new Ben stories and The Black Hole. I'm sure I'll find it perfectly enjoyable, I'm just not terribly excited, you know?

It's possible this might work out in Big Finish's favour - given January's big releases, a Cybermen story in the mix might lead wary customers to try the Early Adventures format.

True, but none of the stories were direct sequels to previous ones. I think that if it had no overt connection to any previous story, we'd be a good deal less dubious.

The Invasion is one of my absolute favorite serials but all the stuff I love about it: Vaughn, Isobel, The Brigadier & Unit, 1960's location shooting in London are obviously not going to be part of this audio. That being said it may be better than I am anticipating & more of the season 6 Tardis team is never a bad thing for me.

I'm sure I'll find it perfectly enjoyable, I'm just not terribly excited, you know? True, but the flip slide is that there are always potential new customers and Big Finish has that hefty back catalog which can be somewhat off putting. A relatively new range, a landmark villian of the era and a tie-in to a beloved TV story is a nice jumping on point and Big Finish need to strike the balance between existing and new customers. While, yes, they've defiently been overexposed this year, it's something I can live with given that we had the Cybermen never featured in any Second Doctor Companion Chronicles Also: Big Finish are in a different position from when they launched The Early Adventures in 2014. In 2014, Big Finish was a company which often struggled to get it's products out there and played to a particular loyal audience, so it made sense to reintroduce us to The First Doctor's world in a traditional format and make us wait for The Daleks, because there was a receptive audience which would appreciate such a move. With the exposure the new series licencise however, it makes sense to reunite (although I'm sure that was also part of the tease of the return of The Daleks) the Second Doctor with the show's second greatest enemy and run it alongside the high profile War Doctor box set and introduce all the prospective new customers to the other Doctor Who ranges. I'm not sure if we'll see Salamader return, however. I think people are more then happy to experience as a story of it's time, but his return in a new Big Finish tale might rise a few eyebrows. Bring on The Macra, however!

I wouldn't call it a sequel, tbh. I'd say the link is more Frontier in Space/Planet of the Daleks.
