Also, in the obscure news thread, it was mentioned that we might possibly lose the TARDIS for a while. What an amazing opportunity to change the dynamic of the stories. Imagine the Doctor and team having to travel on bulk interstellar freighters and playing a bit of hitchhikers through the galaxy. This would make for some great original new stories which have hardly been explored to any extend yet. Really excited about this! Universal threats have to be fewer i agree.Nothing wrong with blockbusters i really really love them. Am not wanting the loss of the TARDIS its a Time Lord and his machine-what i do want is his loss of the ability to pilot the TARDIS to return to the we might never get home scenarios and the feeling of ITS OK lets go have some fun while the fate of the universe is at stake-because we have a T~I~ME machine ,nah thats not good could i really sleep knowing that -but the fate of the universe is at stake and if i take off i may not be able to solve it for decades. I always figured when Capaldi said DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FLY THIS THING? That they missed a great opportunity for random settings ,random stories.

I also have no issues with blockbusters per se, but you have to agree that there are other genres and smaller/ quieter pieces they could do that are equally if not more worth it. Blockbusters are like junk food, silent character pieces like a warm savory broth for the soul.
I think not losing the TARDIS is a cop out. So he will be stranded but still has his 5 star accommodation with him? With the labs and the swimming pool? Nah. If you are going to do it, make him desperate, have him hitchhike on intergalactic freighters and chat with the lower classes of future society.
Just the amount of great original characters you could get that way, would be brilliant.
I know that this would be a departure from the usual format of the concept of Doctor Who, but nothing ventured....
In any case, from past experience, I have full confidence in the BF writing team.

Yes the Paul McGann Appreciation Society was going to make a comment but will refrain to do so as Causality has an itch at the moment. So he is saying things that he does not mean. So I will show compassion. He should listen to whiskeybrewers advice on how to deal with the itch.

DWM Preview mentions “a heart-stopping twist” in Day of the Master which Dorney claims is ‘probably the best cliffhanger I’m ever going to write’. He suggests listeners don’t listen to the next part immediately after as apparently ‘You’re going to want to leave it a bit’. It also suggests not all the TARDIS crew will make it to the end... I’m going to go a bit further - I’d suggest deliberately not allowing yourself the opportunity and time to listen to the second episode immediately after the first.

Well easily done the TarDis can reconfigure as it has done before more recently in seizure and leave him with the barest of accommodation

I get that the latest news was officially released in DWM so it's kind of out in the open, but I'd liked to have gone into Ravenous 4 not knowing what we know now. I feel like this information is going to spoil the experience somewhat as we know *something* big is going to happen, and that we'll lose a companion. I've found that losing companions is something best experienced with no foreknowledge, so I'm slightly disappointed we've been told in advance (again). On the plus side, boy does this sound even more exciting than it already did! Roll on October!

well its Doctor WHO-do you REALLY die.? And i now think its the TARDIS that has to DIE. Explains why they become STRANDED

Well it's the Eighth Doctor we're talking about. As of today, Charley is the only companion who has left the TARDIS alive and mostly well. Nice catch on the TARDIS dying though, {Spoiler} it would be the perfect setup for Stranded, knowing what we know about the upcoming saga.

Maybe that's why he doesn't want to delete their rooms before Relative Time in the EDAs, that's how he keeps score?

Maybe that's why he doesn't want to delete their rooms before Relative Time in the EDAs, that's how he keeps score? Would you sleep in any of their rooms lets be honest that would be like tempting fate. No thanks doc ,i will have my own room, thank you very much! Does he delete them to hide the evidence that you are just not as safe as you thought it would be and that it must be so wonderful to time travel with the doctor in the TARDIS?=lets be honest ,if he showed at my door and invited me on board (the 8th) i would say,” NAE WAY MATE “and wait for Patricks Incarnation as he did ,i think ,have a lower death count. But thats for another thread 😉
