I think it has been said that we won’t find out the relevance of some of the earlier stories to the overall arc until the end...which is one of the reasons I thought that the Wish Giver could make another appearance. Was he played by Robert Whitelock? If so the actor is back for the final set. I noticed ROBERT Whitelock is one of the writers on the first of the Kalsor Robots set So he is writer as well. He is something of a Storyteller then! I haven’t paid much attention to the Kaldor series...I am waiting to see if I will be inspired to subscribe come the end of Ravenous!?

All the Kaldor/Robot stories they have done have been.

Well with all three sets listened to again .I have to say i think Ravenous 1 is pretty much stand alone and apart from a rough mention of the Ravenous is the final episode, the stories work great as such. Ravenous 2 definitely my favourite of the set with all four stories being such a really high standard. The Alien film as i once heard it described. The Ravenous 3 is the ALIENS release and really has grown stronger with each relisten with McGann really holding the fort and both Liv and Helen giving excellent performances. The next set with all the Masters will be interesting as apart from a mention of Masters in An Earthly Woman, they are coming out of Nowhere and eclipsing th 11 in my opinion. As personally, i think this should have been his set as he always seems not to be a great threat as originally conceived, but becoming a bit player.
Well I can but wait and see

Robert Sherlock is credited as two characters one intriguingly as Artron-as in Artron Energy which is also a form of mental energy isn’t it.So perhaps now it has a voice and plays a greater part in the story.Instead of the Doctor using it to make toast.
I am sitting in pub having a large Scottish Breakfast relistening to DEEPTIME FRONTIER again and tbh I really want the story of TIME SCAPHE Alpha 9 it sounds like a glorious tale to tell truly.(now i know how to spell SKIFF lol)

I know I'm in the minority here but the sole reason I can't wait for this is because of the rumors that Liv and Helen are finally out. I'm ready for Eight to have companions that aren't dull photocopies of each other.

Yeah I’m starting to think that they’re not going anywhere. I love them both, but I do think it’s time for Liv at least to go. From what little we’ve heard about what’s coming after Ravenous, it sounds like it’s jusf going to be more of the same but with a different conceit.

I'd straight up skip the next series if they were still in the TARDIS at the end of this one. Liv and Helen should leave because it feels like they don't have anywhere to go at this point and BF just want to keep working with the actresses rather than keep them around for a story reason.

It is not a secret that I really love Liv and Helen and I think they are a great team with the 8th Doctor. I would enjoy another series with them. However, I am also open to new things. And it is always great to see the other side.
Just out of curiosity: Where do you think things should be heading? You say Liv and Helen won't be able to go anywhere from here- where would you have liked them to go? What is the thing you want most and what would really excite you about a new series?

I do hope there will be some negative lasting consequences for the Doctor and co from this set. It would feel a bit amiss for the Doctor to walk away completely unscathed from an encounter with 4 incarnations of the Master.

I'd be okay with Liv and Helen leaving at the end of this series, even though Eight, Liv and Helen might be my favorite TARDIS team ever (along with Jamie, Two and Zoe). It's been a while since one of Eight's companions died now. I'm not a sadist but I'd be ok with a fresh start for what comes after Ravenous. You can't have too much of a good thing.

February will be Liv’s sixth anniversary as the current Eighth Doctor companion if she stays on after Ravenous. She’s currently served as the Doctor's companion in 43 episodes. Lucie either appeared in 42 or 43 episodes depending on whether you count 100 days of the Doctor, and that’s including the Further Adventures and Short Trips. Charley is into the 50s, but she appeared in loads of Short Trips and reappears fairly often, if you were only to count stories that were released during a companion's run, Charley would just be about one or two stories up on Liv.
It’s time for something different, although I do still love Liv. I think Helen could stay on if it was without Liv so that she could get a bit of the spotlight and better chance to develop outside of being part of “Liv and Helen”. In fact, I’d love to see a team of the Doctor, Helen and a male companion.

As long as the story telling remains elegant and strong Helen is the heart of the TARDIS team of the moment.

Well, I am open for anything.
As I wrote today in another threat, I would even be keen on a more serious take on the idea from "Exile". It is not a bad idea per se, just the execution was atrocious.
Having the Doctor as a drunk who has given up- this might work well with a broken 8th Doctor who has lost both of his companions.
Taken him even deeper than Dark Eyes has taken him...
Done right, this could be very emotional and powerful.
After all, after "Exile" I hope they learned their lesson on how not to do it... and after listening to "Lies in Ruins", I am sure Paul McGann would be able to sell it.
What I do not expect happening is that all will be fun and games and the Doctor goes back to the care-free version of the Lucie Miller period.
In any case, I am really looking forward to Ravenous 4 and of course the next series. Just waiting for the announcement to pre-order. So far, I have not been disappointed by the 8th Doctor box sets and I am sure they continue to be in very good hands.

The question we should be asking is what does Paul McGann want and who does he want to work with?
