Oh, good. Just when I was starting to worry that I wouldn't have anything else to worry about... Seriously though, I'm sure it will go fine. Probably. Maybe. Possibly. I mean I'm sure they've learned their lessons from last time... Uh, if you will all kindly excuse me, I just have to dash off real quick and do...things.

Relax everybody! Big Finish is a pro outfit. A go to place to rely on a back-up of your audio stuff, a bit like MySpace.
I had all my purchases on my back-up drive as zip downloads, but recently deleted them all, keeping only the unzipped versions on my C drive music folder, to free up redundant space and speed up virus scans a while back...
Seriously though, this sounds like a front end interface upgrade and should not impact on the server based storage of their assets?
DOCTOR: Yes. Well, at least as something as simple as a new interface, nothing can go wrong. No co-ordinates. No dimensional stabilisers. Nothing.

To be honest, I wouldn't expect anything to happen to people's downloads because of the website redesign, so I am not bothering to back up my downloads/orders. It's easy to knock BF for some of their PR fails but a new website is long overdue and I'm sure the people they have employed to do the job are not idiots. One of the main requirements would be, please don't lose our customers account data! So I've faith that it will go ok...

There’s always the chance it will mess up somewhere and 2. I really should be keeping track of what I’ve got

I realized I've bought way too much to download and back it all up...so instead I spent today recording the order numbers for everything I own.
Goodness me, it took all frickin' day--but I'm home sick today, so it's not like I had anything else to do.

The promise of the wishlist feature makes me happy...
... Now I will be able to see in one place, all the releases that I want (but won't be able to afford due to the new international download pricing). 🙃
Joking aside, I have wanted this feature for a long time.

If you go to My Account and click on View orders on the right hand side, it will list all your purchases. Mine even lists the times that my order didn't go through (those are grayed out). Then you can save that page or copy it into a word document. IDLE just did this - 92 pages

I mean surely it's a leap to assume that BF would lose all your data and records like....assumably those would be saved somewhere outside the website.

All data and records would be a bit of a stretch, but it's not impossible that one or two could, in the worst case scenario, go astray. This is more for proof of purchase than anything else. And with the best will in the world, technical hiccups do happen. Ootherwise we wouldn't have Google privacy breaches or Amazon database crashes. Having a copy on your home computer is just one more backup you can fall back on if anything does go wrong. A preventative measure. You shouldn't need it, but worse comes to worse, you still have it.

The website us several websites behind the scenes. This us a front end upgrade, I don’t see accounts being changed except presentationally. Links might change, hopefully not too far

Mine came up to 141. wow. Oh wow, you've got me beat! I thought my 122 was ridiculous! I’m a slouch. Mine’s 92. But surely it depends to some extent in how you format it. Mine’s in an ODT file, default formatting.
