So apparently you can't listen to bloodline if you rely on the app and preordered the bundle. Very surprised they would release a serial like this and not be able to support it via the app. I know this occured with bloodlust, but that was not excusable in 2015, let alone 2019.
I can't download them to my laptop and transfer to my phone twice a week. My Mac is slow, and when I add files to my phone it wipes out music files too for some reason. Anyone know or an option using an iPhone X how to download a zip file from big finish site direct to phone and then listen?
I mean if this was a known issue, they should have been upfront when you bought the download bundle that you would have this limitation (and miss out on the fun of speculation). Or have the download bundle be each discrete episode, assuming the episodes are downloadable in the app. This is very disappointing given dark shadows is by far my favorite range!

For iPhone users, I found a workaround. If you download the audiobook to a cloud drive (I had to do my iCloud for the initial download) you can buy a $4.99 app called Winzip (free one won't work on a cloud service) to unzip the file. Since Dropbox has a native music player, you can listen to the unzipped file on Dropbox vs your phone. I think you could move the file to Dropbox first, I'll try that next time.
Keep in mind, if you do the MP3 version you get multiple files of a few minutes each and Dropbox won't auto start the next one, so recommend the audiobook format. There may be an easier way, and of course Android users don't need to go to such extremes.
Apple doesn't make this easy, so that's not a Big Finish problem, but big finish should have corrected this for us, from the getgo. App support for audio products is basic functionality. It stopped being a delighter some time ago.

I'm in a similar position in that I was a bit annoyed not to be able to access Bloodline Episode 1 on the app after having bought the download box-sets. However, I have a way around this on my iPhone without using a computer/laptop or cloud drive. I have an app called Files HD (which used to be called Downloads) that has a browser that enables me to access the Big Finish website and download from my account. Downloads come in a zip file, but the app can easily open these. I have done this with the audiobook version of Bloodline Episode 1 and then opened/copied it to my podcast app (I use Downcast) and played it from there. Relativity painless and straightforward, but still a bit annoying that it's not available via the app.

If you are an iPhone user I use
MP3 audiobook player pro......more than I use the app
Just tap the zipped file when it’s loaded it will ask if you want to play in mp3 audiobook player........tap it and it opens up nicely in there.......
And along with GoodReader and file explore app I can pretty much manage without ever needing iTunes or connecting to my pc.
If anyone wants any more info just ask.........but for just over £10 these app are great for iPhone/pad users

I was looking for a place to backup my BF, so maybe I just downloaded to my cloud drive and leave them zipped since this app plays them! Thanks!!

I was disappointed by this set up and then got the first two episodes (a few hours after their release the roundabout way). I was fine with even that, but it doesn't seem the third episode is on the app, even a good way through Friday). I know technology is hard and I understand they probably were focusing on the new website that came just before this. However, I wish they would have figured out how to released the episodes digitally as they are available through their app. I'm another that doesn't have reliable access to a laptop/desk top and have enjoyed the app making it so wonderfully easy for a while now (I even repurchased some of the very oldest audios when they were on sale since I had bought them from a third party bookstore over a decade ago). I'll go through the loops to get these audios, but I feel saddened that the experience is made harder for those of us who bought the volumes (and weren't informed ahead of time that there would be a delay to the app access).
Don't get me wrong, the audios are amazing and I only fault the overlook on technology, which these days has to be made as seamless as possible, especially if the point of the releases is have the same immediate access like with the success of Bloodlust.

You have to delete your prior download and download again in order to get the new episode. Rinse and repeat each Monday and Thursday.
