Well, what bad luck to have no Internet for most of the day when this is released . Anyhoo, back now and downloading. Cheers Tony

A great collection of stories. Interesting to note the lack of deliberate, mustache-twirling antagonists this time, there's been instinctive antagonists (troll, banshee, sea monster, lycanthropes) or it's simply a character piece with no actual bad guy.
I think my favorite was the last one, The Living Image. Sort of like a Prince and the Pauper kind of thing, and the tragedy at the end was, well, tragic.
A few isolated settings, the Scandinavian forest, the boat on the ocean (that's actually a really scary place to get caught, because there is literally nowhere to run except where the monster lives) and the Icelandic forest. The closest any of them got to comedy was Human Remains, with Dorian high on opiates and poking fun at the narration aspect as well as getting a laugh out of the Doctor's name. Didn't make the nature of the creature any less frightening though.

This morning I heard a few more: His Dying Breath - macabre and good Banshee - Dorian meets Woman in Black (a bit) The Abysmal Sea - strong with good images

Do I listen to this first or save it for after the Christmas special?
The thing is I want to listen to everything I have of Dorian right away but then I also want to savor it since there is so little left. What a dilemma.

A request: Muckypup, from the old forum board, created different colored versions of the cover art (with titles) for each of the series 3 box set stories so that those of us who use iTunes would have different cover art for each recording. I appreciated those very much! Muckypup, if you're on this forum, could you work your magic again for each of the two Christmas stories, for series 4, and for series 5? if Muckypup isn't here, would someone else be able/willing to give it a go? Maybe with different title fonts, or something other than single plain colors to differentiate all the stories? Anything will be appreciated! I ask because I basically suck at computer graphic design. I need pencils or paint create. I can't get into digital graphics production/editing...just not my thing! But I so love the creativity that others possess in this area!

Ok I still have the last story left but Inner Darkness Wow. That was not what I was expecting. So far that and Enigma are my favorites of this set. But after Inner Darkness can we also assume the painting is also a vampire? Now I am wondering if it is just a one time thing and the painting takes it on (as I expect) or does that now happen at every full moon Also I like how these stories in this set show Dorian while escaping...failing heroically, showing more of the ANTI-hero side of Dorian. Probably the two that especially stand out are Freya where He doesn't rescue the girl or in this case Goddess And in Banshee where he has to kill the woman

Finished the last story another favorite of this set. Really powerful and truly showed the dark side of Dorian where he doesn't necessarily mean to do wrong but doesn't always think things through until they are too late. That makes him more complex than a character who sins just to sin.

That makes him more complex than a character who sins just to sin. An excellent character piece with no real antagonist but the cold, hard truth of what Dorian seems to bring out in people. Sometimes you want a Dorian story to get a completely and unambiguously happy ending for once (Murder on 81st Street was the closest).

Surely they brought Toby back to give him a happy ending (Yes Im in denial) lol Anyways listened to the extras. The one for Human Remains was my favorite. I love how they were making fun of the narration. I was cracking up at work at the I'm so lonely/Kiss Kiss scene. Also I totally did not realize Alex was playing Jonathan in thst last story. I was completely fooled.

Also I totally did not realize Alex was playing Jonathan in thst last story. I was completely fooled. I pegged on from the moment Jonathan first spoke. It's a great story idea, meeting your identical double, and the writer milks it for all it's worth, right down to the dark mirror aspect.

I guess I was so into the story that I didn't notice it. Well that's good acting for you.
