Hope there will be an option for viewing including the surviving episodes - or maybe that will be for the Collection release, whenever.
I'm sure I've seen in confirmed the surviving material will be included in the release. Yes, here we are: Do you think The Smugglers will not be animated for a Season 4 Collection release? (And might they not get Season 6 completed first?) Good news about the surviving episodes of 'The Faceless Ones' being part of the release, thanks!
I certainly hope 'The Smugglers' will be animated for the Collection, I love the historicals and it's a significant story as Polly and Ben's first trip in the TARDIS. Sorry, I was thinking so hard about the super run of Troughton Doctor stories they did (and with Jamie) I didn't look back far enough!
Season 6 would be easiest in terms of what we still have wouldn't it? So yes that would be the logical one to come first of the Troughton years. But they do seem to be focusing their animation efforts on Season 4 so I wondered...

And the slow and steady filling in of the missing stories back catalogue continues... I'm just hoping that there is a black and white option on the bluray release, like there was for Macra.

I'm just hoping there are no more edits or alterations, like there were on Macra.
If something's worth doing, it's worth doing properly

If something's worth doing, it's worth doing properly I don't think there will be, as far as I remember The Faceless Ones doesn't have any 'problem scenes' like the rough and tumble scene from The Macra Terror. The story is a lot of people in rooms talking.

Hello again.
Stubagful's review of the Macra Terror says if it takes a long time to do it properly then it will be worth the wait.
I loved Power of the Daleks, so I am hoping they will complete the Season 4 and 5 run eventually. I'm looking forward to Fury from the Deep and Evil of the Daleks as I really enjoyed these on audio.

There's a new clip up on YouTube: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NG2a2tmKTnUThe animation is looking great, but I think it's a shame they didn't try replicating the existing episodes. I know the original episodes so well that this reimagining doesn't quite work for me (but I probably won't watch the animated versions of the existing episodes anyway, so it probably doesn't matter so much). Also, points for anyone who spots the Roger Delgado cameo

Also, points for anyone who spots the Roger Delgado cameo Spotted it - is it a reference to a Delgado Master story set in 1966? As far as I recall, there wasn't one

What's Left to Animate?Marco Polo - 7 episodes
The Crusade - 2/4 episodes
Galaxy 4 - 3/4 episodes The Myth Makers - 4 episodes The Daleks' Master Plan - 9 episodes The Massacre - 4 episodes The Celestial Toymaker - 3/4 episodes The Savages - 4 episodes
The Smugglers - 4 episodes The Highlanders - 4 episodes The Underwater Menace - 2/4 episodes The Evil of the Daleks - 6/7 episodes
The Abominable Snowmen - 5/6 episodes The Web of Fear - 1/6 episodes The Wheel in Space - 4/6 episodes
The Space Pirates - 5/6 episodes I think Season 5 and 6 are looking pretty likely as the first B&W Blu-ray releases, what with Marco Polo and The Crusade being famously hard to complete.

The number of episodes remaining seems (bizarrely) irrelevant now they're animating the whole story, including existing episodes. By their current method, it would be just as difficult to animate The Web of Fear as The Abominable Snowmen.

I'd expect Web of Fear to be the exception to that, but I agree - that's why I included both numbers for each story above.

I could see that, or possibly a fully animated Abominable snowman bundled with a Web of Fear with an episode 3 animated. Call it the yeti tales or something like that.

It already has... =_= I've been to a few 'DW'-related screenings throughout my ten years of being a member (Jesus!) and have also found them enjoyable. I was hoping to attend this one as I have a Saturday off from work this month (the 22nd) but, sadly, was unable to switch it to I could go... Ho-hum. 'Hope those who go enjoy it anyway!

I couldn't make this one. Looking forward to hopefully watching something there to coincide with season 14 Blu-ray release.

I should also say for anyone into other spinoffs; Reeltime's limited edition bluray of The White Witch Of Devil's End, The Daemons sequel, is also out March 2nd. So that's Season 12 reissue, White Witch, Faceless Ones and Series 12 of the new series all within 2 weeks.Thank God I've paid most of them in advance!

What’s nice about the US is we’ve already got the Season 12 set but Season 26 is my other big March purchase
