Of Course such a day exists.
They gots a day for everything!
Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a day for "failed prophalactics"
And if Steele's Market still existed and I still lived in Fort Collins, CO, I would celebrate the day by going down and getting some Maple Frosted.
Hell, it might even be worth to drive down to Thronton and hit Krispy Kreme for a box of gooey hot baked artery hardeners.

Hello again. National Donut Day and I have no donuts to celebrate. Same here. There should be hand outs. However, during the carnival period we always got the German equivalent at the Uni cafeteria while I worked in Vienna at Uni.

Somebody brought donuts as part of the table of food we have after religious services on the Sabbath. So I got my donut the day after National Donut Day.

Iced ring donuts with sprinkles my kinda heaven. I like a plain cake donut (like Dunkin' Donuts original or old-fashioned donut). The other kind I like are the original plain Krispy Kreme donuts - a raised donut with a white glaze over the top. I don't know that you have either of those in the UK. (Actually Krispy Kremes tend to be localized to mostly the southeastern states even in the US.)

We have loads of Krispy Kremes in Glasgow, we get boxes in the office every Friday, their peanut butter one is just.....wow.

I remember when they tried to expand too quickly in the US, didn't do well, and pulled back on the expansion. But apparently they found a way to come back and expand, according to my googling today.

The ones we had at synagogue on Saturday looked like a knockoff of the Krispy Kremes with white glaze, but they were not as good.

Hello again.
No donuts here either Tuigirl, (shame), only Cornish pasties!
The descriptions of all the yummy donuts given above are not helping folks!
