Hello everyone!
This year I've enjoyed and reviewed 'Star Cops' – the TV series and the Big Finish audios on my blog - bradleybasement.wordpress.com/sci-fi/star-cops/
I'm curious about what's next for 'Star Cops' and whether there'll be a new audio series by Big Finish announced soon. It has been a while since the last 'Mother Earth' box set was released, so I’m wondering what new story ideas will be on the horizon and what Andrew Smith as the script editor will do next for the series at Big Finish.
Let the speculation and the discussion begin!
Tim.

It would be nice if BF let us know when we can expect Star Cops 3.

Hello everyone! I'm currently revisiting 'Star Cops' with the TV series and the two 'Mother Earth' box sets before I get to 'The Stuff of Life' and the two 'Mars' box sets. Tim.

I'll look forward to your thoughts on 'The Stuff of Life' (which I haven't picked up yet) and the Mars boxsets (which I have and are a really good listen in my humble opinion..) 😊

Ordered my copy, excited for it to arrive one day lol(UK to Canada shipping is a treat right now). I did have a Reid exchange with James Kettle who was saying that he loves the show, my response being he should write for the next run at BF. He made a nice in joke for fans of the show, though no confirmation either way, but here’s hoping there is more!

It was an underrated TV show and a cracking audio drama. Box! What's the weather doing now?

It's sad that Philip Martin passed away recently. He could've written some more 'Star Cops' episodes for Big Finish. I would like to know whether Big Finish considered adapting his aborted TV episode 'Death on the Moon' into an audio drama. Tim.

I asked this question many moons back on the Podcast, as well as if Chris Boucher's own novelisations might be recorded and was told "no plans". In terms of the Phillip Martin episode, at a guess, it might be a rights issue - as it came later in the run and would have used series elements not created by Chris Boucher and therefore not within the scope of their licence.

One imagines a rewrite might take care of that... giving those roles to Priya and Paul... but how far before it's pulled completely away from the original? I'm not sure Star Cops has the fanbase to sustain 'lost episodes' like DW has... and the writers probably prefer a free hand. That said, I've always thought the idea behind Death on the Moon, an Agatha Christie style lunar whodunnit, sounded like great fun!

BF seem to have fully embraced recasts now so I wouldn't see Theroux as a problem (or Krivenko for that matter). As for Anna, unless she played a major role that no other character could fill, I'm sure her lines could be re-allocated elsewhere. From what I have observed, even if BF don't have the rights to a character they can still get away with another character mentioning that character in passing (e.g. Charles Vaughn gets name-checked a couple of times in BF's Survivors).
