Okay, in the abstract, I can see how a positive version of this might work, but it's semantics: the core point, of course, is why this teacher thought this was the first option for this situation. Like, they must've been with this kid before, and would know how they work, so why do this if the pattern of behaviour wouldn't support this as a viable solution. Well, all that and this is phenomenally degrading and insulting.

My school does "restorative justice" and that ain't it. That's a whole mess of wrong.
