NuWho does haunted house stories with a very human twist on the monsters, but which is better?

Capaldi and Suchet, more nice and easy Doc/Companion interplay, Knock Knock no contest

Yeah, while both are not my favorites, I definitely like Knock Knock more. There is just this uni/ student flat vibe about it, plus the strange (but nice) professor being overly familiar with his students... reminded me A LOT of my time studying in NZ.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

Knock Knock here as well: I enjoyed Hide a lot but Knock Knock was just terrific.

Knock Knock definitely.
I felt Hide dropped the ball at the end

Hello again.
I really enjoyed Hide. The mood and atmosphere was really spooky. I thought Jessica Raine and Dougray Scott were superb.
However, David Suchet's sinister landlord, the creepy cockroaches and the binaural sound mix really worked. Knock Knock just edges it.
The comedy element with one of the best jokes in Doctor Who when Bill hires TARDIS Galactic Removal Company had me in stitches. The Doctor is hilarious in this too.
I thought David Suchet played it with great reality when he became the child again. It was tragic, reminiscent of Celia Imrie in Bells of St. John.

'Knock, Knock'
Creepy, funny, sad. Has Twelve, has David Suchet, has Bill.

I dunno. I liked parts of Hide, didn't like other parts, didn't like the ending, and resented the way they sort of just nullified the whole Orson Pink business by killing Danny Pink (not that I thought all that much of him as a character anyway) without mentioning it again. And if the intent wasn't for Orson to be related to Danny why even bother with the last name thing?
Then again, I remember thinking Knock Knock was ok, one of my less-favorite ones from S10.

I think you're confusing Hide with Listen As for myself, I'm another in the Knock Knock camp. Neither story is amazing, but David Suchet gives one of the best performances in the entire show, so it's to get that one. Oh, and the Doctor's line about insects being fascinating. I'm not sure why but I find that hilarious every single time

Ok, well, I think I liked everything about Hide except the "oh, it's a love story" ending.
