I hope we get another batch. I love the Short Trips, and I'd love to snap up some more of them. I can't afford to subscribe usually so until STR the sub-exclusive ones are completely unavailable to me.

how many people would really miss these if they werenât a thing? with changes to the main range expected in 2021 there might only be 6 more SSTs. should BF keep a DL-only perk for people that buy a 2-4 box sets in one go? unlikely, Iâd think. Despite them being a glorious obscure little range available to only the MR subscribers, I think it was a good decision to release the SSTs to a wider audience as Rarities. I for one hope they continue to release rarities until exhausted so that I can plug those gaps from 2+ years ago. I have only recently delved and am glad i got the chance to hear some. With the Adventures now pretty much Full Cast(ish) am sure the range of earlier version story ideas may be kept as potential for full casts. Perhaps the short trips may focus more on 9/10/11 etc Doctors. I have never subscribed to MR i hate to be tied in to anything lol for long prefer to buy at my leisure and potential taste. I can see the main range changing for that very reason into box sets as easier to sell four or three story sets as i am sure they will become.Robots being the new model-3 story sets. I may like two stories in the MR and not be interested at the moment on the other so complete sets make more financial sense to them. The short trips is just a perk and maybe should remain so.The fact they are releasing i wonder if there are fewer subscribers? |

Perhaps the short trips may focus more on 9/10/11 etc Doctors. i imagine they will. The Short Trips and SSTs have by nature of the licence been Classic Doctor stories. Weâre already beginning to see 9, 11 and 12 make their appearances. Iâd guess that there are a lot of themes that would fit nicely in the New Who vibe. Theoretically, thereâs nothing to stop BF from opening the tap on the Rarities and making all of the stories available once the 2 year window has passed. It might be a way of generating easy revenue (just the cost of producing a digital cover) and hasten the demise of the overhead of selecting the 5 Rarities each year for the next 5+ years (if they continued to be released at their previous rate). Basically I hope itâs not the end of the Rarities altogether. Am listening to the first lot of Short Trips Volume 1 at moment and have enjoyed the first and second stories in the set. It seems it will be one i will seek out on CD-so hopefully they may release a rarities Cd (wishful thinking) limited edition Collectors edition so to speak since am A Collector now-i finally have been labelled.I have been labelled with worse đ€Șđ |

There's nothing confirmed yet, but there's some speculation over whether it will remain a monthly release schedule or change to some other form. Like I say though, there's nothing definite yet. |

I've always hated no comment, it feels so wishy washy. I can live with no plans, or yes, but we don't have a date, but no comment offers absolutely nothing. Oh well, not much we can do about it. Thanks for asking! |

I thought I was the only one missing this series! I've emailed them about a possible release for the piltdown men which I really want and got an understandable, if frustrating, reply saying enquiries couldn't tell me. Fingers crossed that no comment means we'll get something soon and hopefully something worth the lack of a series releasing in September.
