Well.. Looks like these are on the BF "list" to get rid of physical cds.. HHMMM Not really. If they were, wouldn't there be a statement that they wouldn't be repressing them? BF have been clear that we will always get advance notice if something isn't going to be repressed.

It appears that I've somehow managed to acquire all of these over the years. That's kind of a bummer, I was all ready to spend money. Alas. Instead I'll shortlist some recommendations for anyone who is looking to buy:
1.3 Wrath of the Iceni - Great historical, excellent character development for Leela. 2.1 The Auntie Matter - Very funny, lots of cozy interaction with Four and Romana. 2.4 The Justice of Jalxar - Jago & Litefoot! 3.3 The Crooked Man - Spooky in a fun way. Good Halloween pick. 4.3-4 Requiem for the Rocket Men/Death Match - Great two-parter. Rocket Men are always cool and once again heavy Leela focus. 5.6 The Trouble With Drax - An absolute scream. 6.2 The Eternal Battle - Sontarans done extremely well.

I did a few random comparison checks with Book Depository, even with the 40% off Book Depo are still cheaper from the get go around AUST $2-$6 per cd. That's not including the AUST $11.41 per order charge. :-(

I find the FDAs to be one of BF's most mediocre ranges (though series 8 was its best) but I agree with and second your recommendations. Briggs' episodes are in general really bad but Dorney's are usually superb. The Trouble with Drax in particular is absolutely hilarious.

Dorney's probably the best at it.

Fortunately Tom Baker's box sets outside of the range are generally much better though. I really enjoyed the novel adaptations and PHP.

While the Fourth Doctor Adventures have been hit and miss, there are some absolute classics. 1.3 Wrath of the Iceni - Beautifully written historical. Doctor Who mixed with I, Claudius. 2.1 The Auntie Matter - Perfect Wodehousian farce. 3.1 The King of Sontar - Graham Williams era Sontaran romp. Lots of fun. 3.2 White Ghosts - Day of the Triffids homage in the Williams era. 3.5 Last of the Colophon - Another top notch Hammer Horror homage. Gareth Thomas is brilliant. 3.7 The Abandoned - Criminally underrated piece of 1970s surrealism. Skip Series 4. 5.3 The Paradox Planet/5.4 Legacy of Death aka "The Millennium War". One of my favourite 4th Doctor stories in any medium. Tom and Lalla have never been better. Incredibly articulate and thought provoking environmental conservation story. If S11 is "too SJW" for you, give this one a miss, though you'll be seriously missing out if you do. 5.5 Gallery of Ghouls. A trip to the wax works by seaside. Episode 1 has an absolutely filthy one liner. I'm still shocked the BBC let them get away with it. 5.6 The Trouble with Drax - An absolute joy from start to finish. Dorney nails the S17 format with an amazing 'Douglas-y' script. 6.8 The Skin of the Sleek/6.9 The Thief Who Stole Time. A great take on S18 Tom though far from perfect.

So I just bought Requiem for the Rocket Men, Deathmatch and The Justice of Jalxar. Will buy The Trouble with Drax and The Auntie Matter for a future sale. I'm not exactly fan of that range as I said but some episodes are still worth buying.
I'm more looking forward to a sale regarding the Philip Hinchcliffe range, I only have the first box set.

Energy of the Daleks is my only purchase so far, but I already have about 25 if these on a mixture of CD and download.
