Which leads to another idea for the future wishlist: streaming. I suspect Big Finish might object because of increased bandwidth issues, but unless people are repeatedly listening to the same story it wouldn't use any more bandwidth than downloading, and wouldn't take up as much (any) device space.

I think Nick Briggs has suggested that streaming is a possibility down the track. <paranoia mode> Which makes me a bit nervous, actually. I fear a future, maybe a decade off, where the only way to listen is to subscribe to a streaming service. Then it all goes away when the BBC does something stupid with the license. </paranoia mode>
A related thing that would be nice would be if the app could start playing files while they are downloading, so we don't have to wait for the whole thing to trickle over the internet before starting to listen. There are podcast apps that do this.

Hackmodford -- there may be an actual problem. I have been trying myself to download "Jagot & litefoot series 11" through the app since last Friday and haven't had any success. It doesn't even set a downloading icon over the album art, it just does nothing. I have successfully downloaded and listened to some 25 audios in the app now. (And even downloaded 10s adventures about an hour ago).

And if you get a moment to add another tweak, it would be great to do the article (a, an, the) from the Range list on the filter page. Really I think only helps the confessions of Dorian gray :-)

The latest update just downloaded onto my iPod. The new icon looks nice, but did you really need to add "App" to the icon and name? It's a little obvious that it's an app, really....

avgjoefriday There is no little "cloud" overlay on Jago and Litefoot? Do you have another device to test? I'm pretty sure I know what's causing this. I will try to fix it in the next update. I believe you can cause this to happen by: 1) starting a download 2) Force Quitting the app or losing network connectivity If you feel brave give it a shot on another title to see if it's the same issue Unfortunately, until an update, the current solution is to reinstall the app. I will sneak in the article update for ranges at some point. Good idea! someguy I know what you mean, but there is a reason. If you go to bigfinish.com and do the "add to home screen" thing (basically iOS makes a bookmark of the site as an app icon), there will be a "sister" icon that is red but says "store" underneath. I guess there were some people that were confused between shortcuts for the website/store and the actual app. This will fix that problem

Thanks hackmodford. I will give that a test. The album does have the cloud with arrow overlay.... However no amount of clicking anywhere in the row changes the overlay to the round download progress circle

I figured out why downloads would sometimes get stuck. This will be fixed in 2.0.5 If you don't feel like deleting the app to fix you can wait for the update.
2.0.5 will ignore articles in range names. Range names can also use 2 lines if necessary.

Do that many people really save the web page as an icon on their home screen? I know it's possible, but I've never seen anyone actually do that. And anyway, "App" isn't descriptive of what it *does*. Calling it Big Finish Player or something similar would seem more useful.

Hackmodford -- smashing!! I downloaded the update and it then asked me to sign back in to BF and thereafter I was able to start the Jago and Litefoot series 11 download that had previously been "stuck" somehow. Thanks for the fix!!
