Details released today.
Looks like Avon appears in at least 2 of the 4 episodes. Maybe he does appear in the other 2 as well, or maybe Darrow recorded more episodes for this box set that have been held over to the 3rd box set so Avon can feature throughout.
It will be a sad experience listening to it.

If you read the story on scifibulletin, it reads as if Restoration 2 will be the last we hear of Avon/Darrow (other than possibly archive footage being recycled)

Another great cover and how sad though too but B7 was an ensemble piece too and hope it continues in some form. But either way i have very much enjoyed the individual releases and the box sets too. There has been no show quite like it.

I've only heard the entirety of the first story, but there were times listening to this that Paul sounded like he was having a hard time breathing. Anyone else think that?

Sometimes he sounded fine, and at others it was evident he was struggling a little. For someone who was 78 though, he still sounded pretty good.

I've been noticing that for a little while now, though it only really became prevalent in Restoration - Part 1 for me. Doesn't stop him from giving a good performance though

Yeah I noticed it too, but where else are you going to get Darrow's signature sardonic delivery?
I downloaded this right away, even before I got the release email from BF. I probably won't listen to it for a few days, but it will be next in my queue, and by the end I expect to be quite sad that we will soon have the last from Avon. (unless BF can find a voice actor that can do two things, replicate the sound of Darrow, and replicate the TONE of Darrow. That might be a hard thing to do. I know, they found that Culshaw could do similar for the Brig, so maybe they can find an equivalent for Avon , but I'm not holding my breath...)

I think it’s too unique a vocal probably.enjoying the stories so far

Great set of stories and a definite relisten later loved the finale. Will be sad to see how they resolve all of this without Paul Darrow.

I won't put this whole post in 'spoilers', but there are a few dotted about, so beware!
I enjoyed The New Age – it didn’t seem particularly focussed on any member of the team, but ultimately it became Vila’s story. Hearing him and Avon actually involved in a physical scuffle was quite something – I wished Vila had gained the upper hand, but that would never do. Good, poignant stuff. Poor old Vila, far more than ‘the coward.’ Avon and Tarrant take centre stage in Happy Ever After, and here Paul Darrow is sounding more like his old self than in the previous story. This might be the closest thing Blake’s 7 came to a ‘fairy tale’, with poor old Del once again not quite finding happiness with a lass. Could it be a theme with this set, this ‘what if crew-members went their separate ways?’ thread that has run through the first two tales? Siren brings Dayna and Cally to the fore. It doesn’t take long for Dayna to succumb to the weirdness of the ruined world they visit. This starts off as a good, creepy tale but soon gets bogged down a little with the kind of ‘talkiness’ uninterrupted by action, that blighted much of the Crossfire series for me. It gives me no pleasure to notice Paul Darrow’s breathless line delivery in the first and last story, especially in view of the fact that he passed away not so long after recording this. Avon is still very much Avon however, and Hyperion brings this set to a close nicely. At first, it seemed that the much touted character of Selene Shan was going to be a kind of comedy character, but luckily that was not the case. Its nice also, to see the return of an etheric beam locator! I don’t know if the cliffhanger, and Avon’s part in it, was recorded before Paul passed away, but reasons might well have been given for the character’s lack of presence in the next box set. It’s a bitter/sweet situation, waiting to see how things will turn out, but Restoration 3 promises to be very interesting.

Well, after Restoration 3 I wouldn't mind a return to some Liberator Chronicles. If..unlikely so far... they ever get the go ahead for Season D then the best will be Scorpio Chronicles. Ah well. I wonder if any of Paul's reading as Avon from his Lucifer Novels could be adapted into a cameo? I'll have to check and see. Funny How Blake 7 could survive the loss of Blake and dear Gareth, but will struggle with Paul/Avon.

It would be nice to Have Glynnis narrate stories too. My main sadness apart from the sad loss of three major players was that Josette never returned to the role and that GLynnis never got to shine agains Paul as there would have been great scope to develop her Soolin character. But I always live in hope

That or else spin-offs set in the B7 universe with new characters.
So far BF have just about got away with main characters "off-screen" - Dayna in full cast season 2 and Blake/Gan in The Way Ahead - and I get it that they have little choice for Restoration 3, but Avon is too large a presence in the series for this to work long term.

I've only heard the entirety of the first story, but there were times listening to this that Paul sounded like he was having a hard time breathing. Anyone else think that? I didn't notice the breathing - I think I was too caught up in the story? - but I did notice his voice sounding thin since the first part of Restoration, whereas I'm so used to hearing the signature lower registers in his voice. I think they should have turned the bass up a bit or something along those lines to compensate, but it didn't decrease my enjoyment of the stories whatsoever, and other than that I thought Paul still sounded great. First two stories were excellent and the third one was at the least very good. I might save the last one for awhile but I'm already very pleased with this installment in the series.
