So, just got out of seeing the new James Mangold movie and, yeah, it's pretty solid. I don't think you have to be a gearhead to get into it - its first and foremost, a movie about dreamers - Ford end up being more the antagonists of the film than Ferrari are, with all their corporate meddling getting in the way of building the GT. Indeed, Ferrari end up representing this kind of abstract idea of 'perfection' that Bale's character Miles spends the movie chasing after.
Some of the best work from Bale and Damon in a while too, and they have really solid chemistry.

I will say, it's not as good as Rush in terms of the racing sequences. Still solid and exciting for sure, especially when they have the key race at NASCAR before LeMans, but it lacks the style that Howard brought. Here you certainly feel the speed, but Rush made you really feel the power of these vehicles.

For a 2 and a half hour film it flew by. It had the pacing down and the time jumps worked better than most films.
Yeah if you need a b*****d hire Josh Lucas lol
