So I did these polls last year and they seemed to be popular for determining what we thought was the best of Big Finish of that year and now that it is November I've decided to get it started. Like last year, pick your top three from each month and at the end of January a top 20 pull will be compiled once polling has ended. This one is for October 2019. As it is a coloring book, Benny in Wonderland is not included.

Ravenous 4. Oh my god, that was amazing. I think it might be my favorite release of the year. Near perfect. The second Paternoster Volume is also better than the first one, with more interesting stories and some great performances. And I also thought that Torchwood Smashed was quite enjoyable and interesting.

That’s my top 3 as well. Ravenous totally met the challenge of rounding off the box set, Smashed was claustrophobic Torchwood horror/fun and Paternoster was coming along quite nicely thank you. A good month!

I thought the second volume was a step up. The writing felt tighter, there was a better flow to the stories and they have started to experiment a little.
Strax is also becoming a character in his own right and not just comic relief. I also appreciated that they got rid of the "Sontar Ha" chanting music they had in Volume 1 for every time Strax did something comical and/ or heroic.
It still is light hearted and humorous, and one should not expect real horror (although the ghost story was quite creepy).
