Xmas is a time for reflection, and this felt like a good way to (1) round out my little S11 trilogy of threads and (B) do a refresher of 13 and the fam ahead of Spyfall. So, let's talk some of S11's best scenes and moments.
An immediate one is Graham's scenes in Arachnids, especially the last mirror scene. Bradley plays it all perfectly and props to Chibbs - the memories of Grace are just that. Disjointed memories from a mind in pain: they don't magically coalesce into some kind of life affirming speech. Graham's just trying to do what anyone in that siutation would - make sense of something that, well, doesn't because death isn't something you can just put in a box.

Hello again, Contrary to the vitrolic Youtubers who destroyed season 11, there were some memorable moments in series 11. The scene of the bus in Rosa, Graham's face when he realises he is the white man that causes Rosa's arrest was very affecting. The overwhelming emotion I felt was shame. Jodie's best scenes for me were in the Witchfinders when she confronts King James and just when you think she has got through to him, he condemns her. She gives another opportunity to do the right thing at the 'trial' and again he shows what a righteously cruel man he was. I really enjoyed the TARDIS team going undercover in Kerblam, the little injokes really made me laugh. However, for me the standout classic was Demons of Punjab, the mystery of Yaz's grandmother, the uncertain atmosphere of a country in transition, the chance to examine a historical event that affected millions of people and the fact its transmission was on Remembrance Sunday, surely no coincidence. The programme reminded us that the decisions of our leaders have huge repercussions, there is an alternative to blind hatred and that soldiers from all countries have given the ultimate sacrifice. Also, the haunting end theme made for a memorable story.
I really like this TARDIS team, I think they clicked together really quickly, and I am looking forward to their new adventures in 2020.

^ Apart from those wonderful moments listed above, there are a couple more that spring to mind.
One of the very few mentions of the Doctor's gender was in The Witchfinders (possibly my favourite story from the series, certainly one of them), when King James scoffs at the idea of a 'mere woman' becoming a Witchfinder. Her reply, "Oh yes, sorry, I must have got all confused," is lovely and makes me happy every time.
There's the revelation of No More UNIT in Resolution, due to under-funding, which is bitingly good.
Finally, a very tiny scene in The Woman Who Fell to Earth. Towards the end, even after all he has gone through, Ryan still can't ride that bike more than a couple of metres. He continually gets up and tries again, only to fall to the ground. The camera pans out, and The Doctor is standing, watching without comment. I love that.

Well, the Doctor forging her new screwdriver is the most iconic scene in the whole series for me.
As an episode, I like "It takes you away" the most and it was great to meet the blind actress at the convention. She was inspiring.

Three moments that made the Doctor for me - The Doctor’s compassion towards the spider in “Arachnids”, her look of upset when she’s told she cannot ride the conveyor belt in “Kerblam!” and the moment when confronted with choosing between her own freedom and easing another being’s loneliness she chooses to help in ‘It Takes You Away”.

I forgot the 'army scene' in Resolution. You know the one, where several hefty lads - and a tank - line up to be effortless cannon-fodder for the lone Dalek. Who didn't cheer when the creature exterminated everyone?

Oh, loads. Despite S11 being maybe my least favourite since the show came back, or at least the least cohesive, there were some cracking eps and loads of great bits.
King James VI flirting with Ryan. The Doctor falling through the roof of the train then the badass new theme hitting in for a few secs as she rises. Undercutting the threat of the main villain as "Tim Shaw??" not once but twice in the same scene. Rosa's "No" - OK, that's historical but still...it was wonderful telly. "I love you too" in Punjab, followed by that stunning version of the theme. In fact...everything King James VI did. Cumming is probably still picking bits of scenery out his teeth. A cheat here but the tone of It Takes You Away. Felt more Gaiman than the two actual Gaiman eps we've had. The Doctor holographically threatening The Dalek
