A family meal, interrupted. Government papers, stolen. Social etiquette, ignored.
Ruby Watkins is the over-worked and unappreciated maid of the Gledhill family. Answering the door midway through serving dinner, she finds Mr Gledhill’s junior at the War Office, Mr Taylor, is here to see him on urgent business. For some unknown reason, he’s brought a doctor with him…

I just adore Peter Purves. He can do no wrong by me. It may not be one of the stories from this range that jumps out at you, but a good, solid story that is well narrated. I'm getting to really enjoy the relationship between The Doctor and Steven when there aren't any other companions around. They're just a nice duo, with Steven being annoyed at the Doctor at times, and The Doctor amused by it all. Worth a listen.

Good little story that's how the 1st or any Doc should be in regards to Women's Suffrage Regards mark687

My take on 'Peace in Our Time' is now up at CultBox: an engaging tale for the Doctor and Steven, told from an unnsual perspective.
