That Holmes box set is a steal, and it's the next one I haven't heard...A very good price indeed. I'll wait and see how much Who gap-filling I can do with the other days, and if I haven't spent myself into poverty, I'll snag this one.
Never did do Dark Shadows.

I am a little surprised that there was no teaser in the write up for either Sherlock or Charley that there will be more to come next year.
I am certainly looking forward to another Sherlock Holmes set

Is Charlotte Pollard Series 1 any good? Yes I would recommend series 1 Especially at this price. The Fall of the House of Pollard alone is worth the asking price.

I’m there for Charlotte Pollard! I haven’t finished all her Eight and Sixie adventures yet, but hopefully that won’t be a problem? In any case, this is going into the “bought and to listen to” pile very shortly!

Even at that price it is a pass. I can't stand Pollard.

Nothing to tempt me thus far - I have the Sherlock set as an Audible purchase, but I have come to the conclusion that Nick is not a strong enough actor to carry the lead. Vanity project or low cost casting - when you can get Stephen Fry narrating the complete works for an Audible credit, original stories or not, it does not carry for myself, though the Perfidious Mariner was a excellent tale well done. Sorry to be negative, as it goes against the spirit of the forum ethos.
With the usual suspects of Dorian Gray, Vienna, Graceless, Dalek Empire et al potentially still to come, will we get a decent MR Doctor Who offer or two this year?

Dark Shadows is fun, but I already have that one.
Already have Charley 1. I haven't listened to it in a long, long time, but I seem to remember enjoying it.
So, so far I'm at...one buy.

Well that’s me now picked up the Charley series 1. I’d heard mixed reviews of it, but at that price I’m happy to try it.
I also picked up the Carnacki series the other day.
But otherwise the sale isn’t grabbing me.

I enjoyed Series One (and Two) of Charley Pollard very much. The Fall of the House of Pollard is wonderful and it's nice to have the character freed of her timey wimey problems that came travelling with Sixie.

3 actors I know...a couple of Big Finish writers I've never heard act...and a whole bunch I've never heard of. Ah well, it's only three bucks, hard to go wrong with that. Bought!

I’m only up to MR 50 with Charlotte P, so have a few still to go. For a fiver though, this was too good an opportunity to miss!

I rather like Briggs' Holmes. Indeed, his (and Earl's Watson) are the voices I hear when reading the books.
Saying that there needs to be a "proper" actor is I need to stop swearing ridiculous, and kinda elitist.
