I think there's a case of typing before having the morning coffee... Jack Gerson would likely request credit for these.

I have come to the conclusion that Nick is not a strong enough actor to carry the lead. Agree 100%. Wish we had a proper actor in the role of Holmes.
Might I suggest that the issue with his performance is not his ability, or his level of career success, but his decision to follow what the books actually say, and give Holmes a high, querrelous voice. This is authentic, but not particularly popular (most actors don't do anything of the sort, and those that do tend to sound the same as each other).

You know, now that you mention it, I actually do rather like Attack of the Cybermen ...

I enjoyed Series One (and Two) of Charley Pollard very much. The Fall of the House of Pollard is wonderful and it's nice to have the character freed of her timey wimey problems that came travelling with Sixie. Series 1 is definitely the better of the two. Worth getting

A possibility. But I think that is being very kind to Briggs who is a very 'Am-dram' actor.

I can appreciate their wanting to get some of these hidden/overshadowed titles out to a wider audience. Sadly the titles so far aren't calling to me. I do like the "impulse buy" pricing on some the offerings though. The only reasons I held off were 1) The stuff I'd be interested in is already available for free via Hoopla and 2) I still have unheard impulse buys from previous sales! I really hope Transference gets a major discount for this promotion. That was a fantastic and ambitious production, but I personally found the pricing too high. Now it's already lost and forgotten in the tidal of releases that have happened since it came out this past August. I ended up getting it at a major discount via Audible and think it deserves a wider audience. Otherwise, I'll be honest and say that I'm just holding out in hope for some Doctor Who titles.

Another day of nothing to buy. A lot of people like Dorian, sadly I could not get into it - I found it pretty boring. Dark Shadows (was better on tv) and Carnacki never grabbed me either - the rare releases that put me to sleep.

Most of the offerings I either already have or I'm not interested in. I did pick up the Dark Shadows offering, as I seem to have changed my opinion about (at least some of) Dark Shadows.

Anybody whose purchased Carnacki, Earthsearch: Mindwarp, The Assassination Game or The Treachery Game are they worth getting?

Anybody whose purchased Carnacki, Earthsearch: Mindwarp, The Assassination Game or The Treachery Game are they worth getting? I’ve listened to the first story of Carnacki (there are six, ranging from 42:03 to 57:30 in length). I quite enjoyed it, a lot more than I was expecting even. No idea how the rest of the set is yet, but that first one was terrific.

I hated Carnacki. The Assassination Game is terrific. And I love both the Dark Shadows release and the Dorian one.

God bless us everyone, I almost bought The Spirits of Christmas at full price at the beginning of December and held off.

The Spirits of Christmas may be the best Dorian set of the lot - it doesn't put a foot wrong throughout! Katy Manning getting shot is a particular highlight!
It's an absolute steal at £2.99!

Tempting. I love Katy. However, I have found the few Dorian Gray episodes I listened to... well, the vibe and the mood just did not agree with me. Not sure I would enjoy this.

^ I have to admit Dorian was a slow burner for me. I downloaded the first one for free, then another in an offer, and then one because it had Lalla Ward in a supporting role, and so on. I can't remember when it went from passing interest to adoration, but by the Spirits of Christmas it was definitely the latter.

Looks like today’s deal is The Invisible Man. Good one, that!

The Invisible Man is an absolute steal. It’s one of those productions where every single element is firing on all cylinders. John Hurt is incredible.
