I love the cover....such a great picture of Jamie. For some strange reason very few of the 2nd Doctor DVDs have Jamie on the cover.
If the US doesn't have the same cover I will have to order this from the UK. (Most likely they will because recently the cover images have been the same but in the past the covers sometimes differed)

I really wish they'd have finished animating the 1st & 4th episode's.

That's what I was thinking. On the one hand it's a "new" release, but on the other I prefer the animated episodes over the telesnaps.
Cheers

Well, I'm sure most of us would rather have animation but two companies wnt under trying to produce Doctor Who eps for the rather meagre budget they had so it's just not viable right now This is still a whole new Pat episode (and it's the best of the 4 from the soundtrack), a really cool sounding commentary and the second part of that awsome look through TV centre with the Season 20 crew.

I mainly collect the DVDs for the extras. The only 2nd Doctor ones I didn't buy were Enemy & Web because no extras. I bought them digitally instead.
So yeah I am excited about all the nice bonuses.

Don't get me wrong, I'll still end up getting it (just personal preference) . Cheers Tony

A friend of mine who works in media told me Daleks Masterplan episode's have been found & being restored but until it's actually confirmed by the BBC I'll reserve judgment as us fan's have been down this road before.

I've decided not to purchase this (SHOCK), i already own one episode on the Lost In Time DVD & find telesnaps to be a lazy way of telling the opening & conclusion to this story.
I may change my mind however at the moment that's how I'm feeling about this release.

I may change my mind however at the moment that's how I'm feeling about this release. It's still got an episode on it that no-one owns (officially) and some fatastic contributors to the commentary. Though the news about the recon isn't good. The new DWM has an article about the release and it seems the recons are going to be nothing more than sequential telesnaps. They won't cut back and forth to the relevant picture depending on who is speaking (so Troughton may be speaking but you'll see say, Ben). They won't be sped up or slowed down to match the action, no composite footage, no digital touchups....it's literally gonna be a slideshow. The bizarre bit? BBC Worldwide specified that it should be this way even though the RT's John Kelly said they could do much more. There was to be no attempt to improve the telesnaps, no editing to help the pacing, no inclusion of the exisiting fragments into the recon. He wasn't even allowed to put in the opening theme and closing credits.... why would BBCWW want an inferior product when the RT told them they could easily do better?

Unfortunately, it's more likely to be a question of internal politics than anything good like "each DVD has a free iTunes code for the other episodes which have secretly been found but haven't yet arrived with the BBC but assuming they do this code'll get them for you".

There's not a snowball's chance of that This is a cheapy, pure and simple, but it's the only way to complete the collection after 16 years so I'll pay the £12 for it. Then, barring any recoveries, the classic Who range is truly done.

Completely agree with you mate, this is just a cheapy released cash in to shut the fans up who moaned about it's delayed release. I got the audio soundtrack which is enough for me.
