The most interesting thing about them? It's definitely not Doctor Who.
They feel a bit slow when you first jump in - I think I had a false start and listened to the first one again - but once I got through the second episode, I found I was pretty invested in the characters. Season 3 is most listeners' favourite, but the whole thing is worth checking out.

The original Dalek Empire series is definitely top notch, it's well written and very enjoyable... the follow ups were not bad but you really connect with the characters in that first Dalek Empire series, for me it was the best of the lot. It was an epic space opera. In Dalek Empire the Daleks are really evil and people die, plus there's no Doctor to turn up and save the day either. (Even better! ) So yeah, I think they are definitely worth it.

I love it, but if you're going to pick it up be forewarned that series 3 ends without resolving the story, and then series 4 steps back into the series 1 timeframe from a different POV. And there is no series 5.

There’s a horror movie called Alien? That’s really offensive. No wonder everyone keeps invading you.

I really enjoyed them: 1 and 2 tell a great epic war story, 4 is side-view of 1 and 2, while 3 takes a look at a rematch with what is pretty much a Doctor Who story. And it’s brilliant. This whole set sold me on Briggs as a writer.I enjoyed Cyberman but it felt very similar in a lot of ways to this.

I really liked it. A solid space saga. The characters feel like a ragtag band of misfits not to far removed from the crew of the Liberator and what the series does for the Daleks... It solidifies why they are such a threat to the wider cosmos. There seems to be literally nothing to stop them. They are relentless. If you decide to pick it up, I recommend Museum Peace, a Short Trip by James Swallow, as well. It makes for a good epilogue, rounding out the series with a visit from a pensive Eighth Doctor.

I've heard the first three series and they're all very much worth the asking price in my opinion. I thought the first two were an excellent sci-fi war story, though with no Doctor to save the day, it's pitch-black and the Daleks are as nasty as they've ever been. Series 3 is set way in the future so it's a little divorced from 1 and 2, but it's still good, and has a prominent role for a certain Mr Tennant.

I enjoyed all four series, although I feel they got slightly weaker as they went along - series 1 is terrific.

Some of my favorite BF output, definitely worth it. And as I remember, they are pretty reasonably priced. Go ahead, you won't regret it!

I really enjoyed it. Good, adult drama with real, human characters who it's impossible not to like.
Series one and two are my mate's favourite BF output, ever.
