I think it's time we had a story with Harriet Jones, don't you?

Quite agree. Could see her making an appearance in the Year of Martha Jones boxset to be honest.

On a bench in a cemetery, giving life wisdom to Ricky Gervais.

I keep thinking that they can't afford her, but they get such huge names. Why haven't we had her in a story yet?

Maybe Penelope Wilton can't find the time in her schedule, or isn't interested, or BF can't find an opportunity to use the character. If BF haven't used a character yet there's probably a reason why.

Maybe fulfil that stupid fan rumour, and make her Mother of All Daleks?

Awful lot of merit to grinch and lidar2's ideas though. I would be perfectly happy to hear her turn up as PM in a Torchwood One set, or as a hardened resistance cell leader in the Martha Year That Never Was set.

I hadn't realized they'd never used her, but now that you mention it, that seems like a weird omission. Too busy in Flydale North, I guess.

Thinking about it the only way its viable ether a 4DA or 2nd Doc (so the Doctor could genuinely believe its a Golden Age) or as stated elsewhere in a TW One Guest Slot.

I would love to have an 11th Doctor story (11th Doctor Chronicles?) where The Doctor has to admit that he made a mistake with what he did to her. I always thought that he was out of line with that comment.

I always thought that he was out of line with that comment. Technically, the period of time between her deposition and Stolen Earth is pretty much free reign and she could have met any number of Doctors (11-13, maybe even Specials' 10 or during his farewell tour). And yes, I very much agree Year of Martha Jones and any of the Torchwood ranges are great places for her to crop up.

If Big Finish can snare Sir Michael Palin for a one off Torchwood I'll quietly hope they could one day pull off the same casting coup with Dame Penelope Wilton.
Maybe a Short Trips narrated by Harriet? Who knows? *taps nose*

I never liked her character - the flashing her ID and reminding everyone who she is just made her out to be a total moron and I'm happy to never see her again.

Im Sure they could expand her character in either a 9th Doctor Chronicle, Rose Tyler: Earth Defense Series 2 or a Short Trip

I always saw that as an endearing gaucheness. What's uncanny watching it in 2020 is how like Theresa May she is - if Penelope Wilton did it for the first time now it would be universally seen as a portrayal of Theresa May.

I have worked in and around government for the better part of 25 year and the only people I have ever seen act like that are university interns who think they look cool. These days they do it when issued with a department cell phone, but it used to be their building access card. There is nothing endearing about it.

Yup, that's always how it came across to me too. She's from a backwater riding and lacks the social graces to fit in with her peers.

I think it's time we had a story with Harriet Jones, don't you? Yes please. I loved that character. We can do with a light hearted, fun boxset for 2020
