I'm about to go make some coquito for New Years. Used to make egg nog, but a Cuban friend gave me the recipe for coquito and we decided we like it better. Could pair that with the Baileys cheesecake I made earlier. Sounds delish. Please send recipe.

The coquito came out delish. I made it virgin so the kiddies could have some, but it really needs white rum to cut the sweetness. Though I suspect the kiddies will love the sweetness, haha. It's in the fridge chilling.

I have no pics to show as I did not think to take any, but over the weekend I made a French Daube Stew for Sunday dinner along with a chocolate bread pudding for dessert.
Then on Monday I fixed banana pancakes with apple cider syrup for breakfast, and for lunch I made shrimp fried rice.
I then polished everything off with a strawberry coconut milkshake.
It had been several weeks since I had the chance to cook for people so I fixed more meals than usual on my days off this week.

This weekend was Venison Stuffed Bell Peppers with a Cheesy Cauliflower Bake for Sunday dinner, and some Orange Cinnamon Buns for dessert.
Monday we just had roast beef sandwiches for lunch, easy peasy.
And for Valentines Day, I'm showing love to myself by fixing a fancy dinner for one. Soy Glazed Steak with Stir-fried Zucchini and Furikake Rice

I didn't do much this weekend other then to make some vanilla muffins.
Rest was easy stuff like yogurt, sandwich wraps, and spaghetti.

This Sat I made Huevos rotos for breakfast, which consisted of soft boiled eggs, seasoned roasted potatoes, and smoked sausage. With toasted rye bread and apricot jam on the side.
And for dinner I made braised beef ribs in au jus gravy with potatoes au gratin and mustard greens sauteed in truffle butter.

My sister has gifted me a pumpkin, so I made some Asian infused (using Pho spice cubes) pumpkin stew with lots of chilli, spring onion, green beans and some organic beef. OMG, it is awesome. I made a whole pot, so I can eat from it for days.

I've been cooking up a storm lately.
Last night we made homemade pizza and bread sticks.
For breakfast this morning, I made some onion and chive cottage cheese to spread on toast and Daddy boiled us some eggs, so easy enough.
Then for lunch I cooked some broiled tuna stakes with spicy Thai curry and rice.
And for dinner tonight we had a pork loin roast with lentil soup, steamed broccoli, mashed potatoes, biscuits, and homemade cranberry sauce.
It was all delicious, but my feet are killing me from running around the kitchen all day.

Yesterday was my last day off so I treated myself to some home cooking.
For breakfast I made some simple congee, with chicken broth and chives.
Lunch was a plate of spaghetti in a homemade red wine sauce.
And for dinner I had broiled fish with citrus salsa and wild rice.
And tonight, since it is the Ides of March, I'll be celebrating with a chicken caesar salad.

Now he was a chicken Caesar.

In Hamburg, I had an amazing BBQ fish and vegetable plate in one of the fish restaurants in the harbour. That was very nice. Plus I got some of my beloved Boba Tea (bubble tea) at the mall. And I really liked the small cozy pub my friend and I went to, they have very simple German meals there, and I tried one of my favorites, the lentil stew. OMG, it was to die for.

So this weekend I finally went to the store after not going in like four weeks and I bought all the stuff for a nice Sunday dinner.
Braised t-bone stakes, brown gravy, boiled potatoes, steamed broccoli, and green beans sauteed in butter.
I also bought a box of jambalaya mix and some smoked sausage for an easy lunch the next day.

So for Easter we had a lamb roast with baked potatoes, coleslaw, and pita bread with olive oil dip.
I've also taken to making a meal plan since starting back at work in order to save on eating out, and it's been working out real well. I start off with tea and a light breakfast, then a few hours later eat a more hearty brunch before work, and since I'm now work second shift I''ve been pre-prepping dinners and lunches in the morning.
So things like turkey noodle soup in the crockpot, fixing some deviled eggs or pasta salad to chill in the fridge, or cutting up the potatoes for a hash the morning before and letting them soak in some water til I'm ready to cook them that night.
It's went so well that I'm already making up the meal plan for next week. Plus it helps get rid of leftovers

I had a rough week and didn't follow my meal plan at all, and the only thing I made over the weekend was some 'pink moon milk' to help me sleep. It's just coconut milk, sour cherries, and honey heated up together.

Went to a fancy high-end grocery story this morning, and I only got a single basket of stuff and it wound up costing over $90, yeash...
But this weekend I'm throwing a cheese and wine tasting party for my birthday and got a bunch of stuff to make a fancy charcuterie board with, along with some other stuff on sale that you can't just find elsewhere, like quail and lamb steaks
