Here's a question for you... the T&Cs allow for the use of all classic companions - would that cover Benton or the Brigadier? For the latter, I'm guessing not as the Haisman Estate has asserted its rights over the character... but what about the good Sergeant? I know Candy Jar are using him now, with a nod to the estate of Derek Sherwin. No it doesn't probable for the reasons you mention. (k9, Jago and Lightfoot, Counter Measures and all New Who Spin-Offs are also off-limits) [however, all other Classic Era and BF DW Companions are alright to use in their Era context, for New Who companions the choices are Rose, Martha and Donna.) Hello everyone! I've sent off my submission 'Rule by Honey' to 2022's Paul Spragg Memorial Short Trips Opportunity competition today! I'm glad I've sent it off before I go to the 'Newcastle Comic Con' next week. Tim

If it doesn’t win, then I will at least be able to get it submitted to the next Paul Spragg Recollections anthology. The story’s title is ‘Lava Pocket’.

Big Finish must receive hundreds of submissions anyway, but at least they acknowledge they've received your submission in an e-mail once you've sent it. I'm sure they'll enjoy reading the submissions even if yours or mine don't win.
'Lava Pocket' is a good title for a 'Doctor Who' story. Tim

So I've got my entry completed and ready to send, but I've got a question - what should I name the file, and how do I format the email? I'm happily confident, and don't want to mess it all up with bad formatting.

I know we can’t use recurring villains or monsters in our entries, but are we allowed to mention/reference them?

I know we can’t use recurring villains or monsters in our entries, but are we allowed to mention/reference them? In one of my my entries a few years ago, i did make oblique reference to a recurring monster. so in that way it maybe okay. but again there may have been an update to that loophole

I'm happily confident, and don't want to mess it all up with bad formatting. I usually name the file with the story title and my name... eg. The Donkey of Doom by Ian McArdell Then just a straightforward email along the lines of "Dear Big Finish, please find attached my submission... best wishes, etc." Good luck!

Having thought I was getting nowhere last week, I've managed to pull my submission together and it's in! Fingers crossed for 'Rush Hour'. Good luck to all those taking part. Seventh time's the charm, eh?

It's just common sense really, isn't it? I'm just an anxious, anxious guy. Thank you, good luck to you as well!

I've submitted my entry just now. I know it's nearly last minute but I think it's better that than late.
