Looking back on Adric’s death, they could have handled the aftermath better. Starting the next episode with a big party in the TARDIS might have seemed a bit insensitive though!

I originally decided that Adric’s death in this was better handled than Tasha Yar’s death in Star Trek: the Next Generation. I might reconsider that.

I won’t be changing the name of this thread, or the ones I did for The Caves of Androzani and The Daemons since for those it wouldn’t make sense.

It's possibly the full spectrum of Davison's era in one story: the weak parts are what's weak with this era (some one note supporting cast, not balancing multiple companions, odd choices for guest stars and overlighting dramatic scenes) but then the good parts are so good and really stick with you. Being better than Revenge isn't a high bar to clear, but it went well above that. David Banks pretty much hit it right from the start.
