Hmm nice to see Callen & Doyle get properly tied up, as opposed to disappearing without mention ala Nova, and also nice to see Big Finish have discovered Louise Jameson is capable of playing Another Character in Who beyond Leela. Just listened to The Green Gift. I had recently listened to the previous set and so was pleased that they did continue with Callen & Doyle. Callen does call out a few adventures that the three of them had between their introduction and this story. So, if writers want to have fun with them again, they can easily do so. For that matter The Doctor could always visit the destination from the end of the story. Anyway, I thought it was a nice fulfillment of The Doctor's promise for Callen & Doyle. As far as hearing Louise Jameson here, it was a bit out of sorts. In the back of my mind I was hoping for some connection to Leela, which is what happens in these cases. Once you get past that, she did a good job playing Fiacra both in her mind and being controlled. I'll listen to the next two stories and the behind the scenes in the coming weeks.

Finished the set and behind the scenes today. They were all pleasant.
The one niggling thing about Northern Lights was The Doctor dropping in on his Nobel Prize ceremony (1922). In Hidden Depths "Lay Down Your Arms" he follows someone at later stages of her life and drops in on her Nobel Prize ceremony (1905). Having that same plot point less than a year apart seemed a bit too repetitive.
"The Beautiful Game" was a change of pace, though.
