Ooh interesting! Ianto looks like a hologram on the cover, so maybe he’s coming to the future Norton-style.

It’s preposterous: I love this current ensemble so much more than I ever cared for the TV team when the show aired. (The orignal cast’s stellar work with Big Finish, of course, is another matter entirely.)
Is it too much to ask for hologram/ghost Ianto to stick around as a long-term addition?

Question- I am very curious about Billis Manger's last story. I am tempted to buy this just for that. I have however NOT listened to any of the other previous releases (nor do I feel the need to do so at the moment). Are the stories in these sets connected? Or are the more stand-alone like in the latest Doctor box sets? So is this more like Stranded with a red line going through or more like 8DA What lies inside? or the 9DAs?

Even without hearing it, I imagine that there’s a good chance it will be heavily connected to the last two series and the running arc of this one, but can’t confirm until it’s released.

Two things to note: Firstly, this series is apparently going to be closer to the Monthly Range, mostly standalone stories (according to the Vortex articles at least). There will be an overarching storyline but my guess is you'll be able to understand the stories individually. Secondly, there's a strong chance Bilis is going to be in the third boxset as well, judging by the script pictured on Lisa Bowerman's Twitter. I think it's also worth saying that at the end of the day Among Us has been designed as a series so you might get a better experience listening to all 12 episodes.

Thank you guys! I will wait for when it comes out and then see what the reviews say, and maybe re-evaluate. Maybe I will get the whole series, just because I really like Billis Manger.

As a best guess, when was Among Us recorded? Does anyone know?

I liked Propaganda by Ash Darby. Not only is it a good opener for boxset 2, it continues to push the still 'new' Torchwood characters to the front of events. It's Orr's turn here, and despite being unneccesarily smug during the opening scenes, she soon becomes a good and interesting lead when coupled with Amy Beth Hayes' appealing Tania and enters Voloshnik. The story is leisurely paced, allowing us a really good feel for the abandoned and creepy city and how life has changed for the person Orr is desperate to save, and whether or not he really is all he seems. With a nice sardonic line in political comment, and a terrific soundcape - even by BF's standards - I'd say this is my favourite story so far in this latest series ...
... although the inclusion of a certain Bilis Manger later on promises great things too.

I've just had a whinge in another thread about BF using 2024's many returning elements as a selling point for their Doctor Who ranges, and yet it gives me great pleasure to spot the unexpected Logopolis reference here. Mainly a two-hander between Andy Davidson and Yvonne Hartman, At Her Majesty's Pleasure is a leisurely paced thing, and I found it enjoyably challenging to figure out where it was going. Turns out I was being manipulated by Yvonne as much as anyone. I don't mind though, she's a magnificent character, and very well played. Sexy, manipulative, cold as ice, icily professional, devious and always one step ahead. Tim Foley's tale is a thinly plotted one, but that's no problem. We have some wonderful exchanges, wittily delivered and a very clever resolution.

Propaganda
I really enjoyed this. For me, Orr is still the most interesting character of the continuation era and I really liked how she led this story.
