Dan Slott posted this himself - mentioned that he was particularly proud of the Easter Egg inclusions of the companion choices for Docs 6 and 8...

Ohh that’s brilliant. only downside is the lack of the words “TARDI-box” in the eighth’s frame.

Ohh that’s brilliant. only downside is the lack of the words “TARDI-box” in the eighth’s frame. Down to the Wooden TARDIS (which also just got a mention not TOO long ago when Tennant met Leela..) - it's a love letter of a splash page. Artists often now use digital tracing so it's perhaps not as exciting as going 100% by hand but that's also some of the best render of Davison I've seen.

I decided to finally read the famous Anti-War novel "Slaughterhouse Five" by Kurt Vonnegut. It came out as a Graphic Novel by Ryan North, who is one of my favorite comic book writers. I never dared to read the book. The story is about the fire bombing of the German city of Dresden, where tens-of-thousands of people (many of them refugees) died. It is a story that is now as relevant as when it was written.

Star Trek- Dog of War. Wow, what an amazing comic! Easily the best recent Star Trek comic, I have started reading the ongoing series like Day of Blood and Defiant, and I was just seriously underwhelmed. But Dog of War? It is a cloak and dagger story in the Dominion War featuring a cute dog and all the favorites of the DS9 cast. It is well paced and balances fun, cuteness, intrigue and action. Simply a good enjoyable story.

Finished the Wolverine vs. Predator series. Blood and gore and violence. Just what I needed. SNIKT!

Ghost Machine
I quite liked what I read of Geoff Johns’ ‘Geiger’ and I do think there is some potential in some of the Unnamed he introduces.
But I don’t know, this whole issue rubbed me up the wrong way. It feels like what I first felt regarding the likes of the Paternoster Gang when they were first introduced. They were written to be spin-offs first and then proper characters second.
Especially in this case when it feels blatantly obvious they’re chasing this being picked up by the likes of Amazon.

mousetrappedcomic.blog/It’s a real treat to see something be creatively done with the fact that Steamboat Willie is now public domain rather than just lazily turning him into a slasher villain.

It's been announced today that Marvel and DC are going to publish two big volumes of their crossovers (one for Amalgam and the related stories, one for the rest). Not sure how much they'll cost but my bank balance is already fearful. It doesn't look like JLA/Avengers is going to be included; but, by coincidence, I read issue 2 of this today.

I've been slowly re-reading all the Archie Sonic comics. Just started in on the Knuckles spin off series today. There's some cringe moments sure, but it's no where near as bad as some fans make it out to be. At least not in these early issues.
