Just having a relisten to The Demon Song and I think Noonan and Cornelius have really found their stride here. If the range is suffering I think a Dalek epic for this team might have been just the thing. Dodo hasn't met them before and it could be the catalyst that leads into what happens in The War Machines...
Ah, well.

Daleks and Little Big Horn? That's a combo!
It sounds like the stakes and threat will be ramped up here and hopefully that stops Noonan doing the Hartnell chuckle far, far too much. Like Frazer's Troughton doing the slight cough/clearing of his throat when he goes to speak some small ticks that the original actors did sporadically are now done WAY too often when someone is re-voicing them. Noonan's struggled with that, for sure and hopefully this can see him further bed in to the role.
Mostly...happy for more Vikki and especially Maureen O'Brien who was one of the only good things about Once And Future and on TV recently with the Tales Of The TARDIS really showed she's still got it in person too. Wonderful, wonderful actor who was a brilliant companion as a lassie and not many still have the chops she does in her 80s.
I'd use older Vikki WAY more than BF have, if Maureen was up for it. Even, or especially, with later Doctors. A no-nonsense older Vikki with Colin's Doc? Take my money. We got her with Davison in the Locum Docs trilogy and...once again...she was brilliant. Not enough good stuff to say about Maureen. She's alongside Lou Jameson, probably the best pure actor of the classic Who companions. Well, Jean Marsh too if Sara Kingdom counts.

I like the idea of them doing something different, but I'm not sure this works very well.
For some reason I got the impression Dodo wasn't going to be in this one. I'm glad I was wrong.

Well, I'll go with the fan art bit... but they can draw better than I can, so I'll just say it doesn't work for me.

I absolutely adore this cover.
It’s so different from the bog standard Big Finish covers we normally get. It’s not tied down to the handful of stock photos Big Finish normally uses and I find it evokes that older era of science fiction tie in novels with all the hand painted covers back in the day.
I love this range has a distinct visual identity.

It's the fact that Dodo and Vicki have been depicted using stick-on googly eyes that puts me off this cover.

Interesting that Dodo is in this given that the Doctor explicitly mentions in The War Machines that she never encountered the Daleks…

I like this cover. It's different, but it absolutely fits the feel of the First Doctor era in a way I can't really describe. Maybe it's just because it reminds me a bit of the Virgin Missing Adventures covers or maybe it's just because there's something "old-timey" about pictures that appear hand-drawn.

I don't mind the cover, but it hasn't grown on me like I hoped it would. They seemed to have turned Vicky into a Weeping Angel.

Whilst I think this is the best of the Noonan covers and I appreciate that it’s a good piece of artwork in itself, I’m still not a huge fan of drawn art for the covers.
