The Mind Robber Zoe and Jamie now remember each other because this TARDIS gave them their stolen memories back, they had indeed forgotten each other and the adventures. After expressing anger at the Timelords for that theft, there's a gorgeous moment when Jamie finds he has a recorder, and the music swells. He's been busy - 5 daughters and 19 grandkids. Zoe has a son, she called him James and never realised why till now. Zoe married an Australian man, and is now President (third term). Lovely moment after the adventure where they wish Victoria has had a lovely life - and they regain their memories for good.
Wife and I just finished watching all these episodes. She picked up immediately the whole "President" comment.. So she lives here in Australia with her hubby who is President and not Prime Minister? We became a Republic?
Overall - really enjoyed it - the whole theme was member berries (and a lot of companions became Eco-Warriors too - Awesome !)

Australia a republic? Not impossible. However, I (and someone correct me if I am wrong) thought Earth was unified by Zoe's time, making her President of Earth!

I'd forgotten how witty the "Time Meddler" script is. Earthshock takes a while to get going, though, I might have been inclined to cut some of the early sequences.

I’ve been steadily working through these, just finished The Three Doctors, and they’re lovely and sweet. The final scene with Jo and Clyde though was really something though. Katy Manning really goes for it, and the tribute to Stewart Bevan is really touching.

The Time Meddler segments are lovely. I didn’t really know what to expect of Steven and Vicki reuniting but it was really quite sweet.
The Curse of Fenric part though; oh that just wonderful. Scenes which play to both McCoy and Aldred’s strengths, and even has time to acknowledge Dimensions in Time and fix Seven’s continuity.
Overall, a lovely, lovely way to incorporate some classic companions and Doctors into anniversary proceedings. Very nicely done.

A look at the Daleks colourisation - and RTD says it won't be the last...

A look at the Daleks colourisation - and RTD says it won't be the last... Colourised shorter versions of the old stories seems a great idea. A shame none available on the season 2 bluray.

Hate to be a curmudgeon but I honestly do not see the point of the colorisations at all. Spend your money on animating the missing ones! LOL.
And as a companion to the 8th Doc rumours, if Disney want more content then hassle them to animate some of BF's output! Again, LOL.

The splash quote on the colourisations in DWM, literally in the post before you, is explicitly saying they want to make them as bridges for modern fans to the classic era, who wouldn't connect with a 7 part, black and white story. Can only be a good thing. Those and the animations are also from two different budgets - one direct and one from BBC Studios. So if we weren't getting the colour Daleks, it wouldn't aid one frame of more missing ep animations.

But as we're both fans of older TV and movies I "despair" at the, I hate to say inability, of modern fans to simply watch B&W material. It is what it is. Despite all that, sure why not? If it gets more people in then go for it!

It's because the yoof will not watch anything in black-and-white. Not Doctor Who, not Hancock, not the 1935 Scrooge, not Rathbone and Bruce, not Laurel and Hardy, not nothing.

From what I have seen from younger family members, there’s actually more truth in that statement than you might think.

Why would they? Lots of old people won't watch things "the yoof" are into.
