At the end of the day, I think the one thing I can say that best summarizes my thoughts on the 9DAs is simply that, were I to recommend Big Finish stories to any Doctor Who fan, even among 100 titles (or 200), I very much doubt I'd ever mention a 9DA.
I wouldn't say the range is bad, exactly, but I'm not sure I'd call it good, either. There's just... very little in it to make the 9DAs more appealing than any of the other stories beyond Eccleston's presence.

Not really sure what you mean by that, but my point was mostly just that Big Finish has an enormous library of thousands of stories, of which there are a great many that stand out for being especially good, a small handful for being especially bad, and a whole heckuva lot in-between... which is here I'd scatter the 9DAs. They just... don't really do much to stand out apart from all the rest. |
