I very much doubt that Doom Coalition will lead into the Time War. Big Finish will want to keep their story options open with the Eighth Doctor.
I am expecting the Eighth Doctor Time War box set to explore his early relationship with Cardinal Ollistra and perhaps some other characters that have/will appear in the War Doctor's stories.

Weren't the Eighth Doctor Titan Comics stated to take place after Doom Coalition?

Definitely, since he has the Night of the Doctor costume there.

Yeah I don't expect Doomco is going to lead directly into The Time War, simply because there are more stories to tell between the two. Maybe eventually BF will connect the dots and go back through Eight's timeline as they do with other Doctors but I don't see that happening any time soon.

Hmm since there is no actual deal on getting the bundle (not sure why it's being called a bargain bundle) I'll be buying these 1 at a time. I do think I will buy part 2 now though.

Those bundles are typically only a bargain for those who decide to get the whole batch of box sets after the pre-order prices for individual sets expire.
But they put all the info up during the pre-order period for all sets in the bundle. So I was told several years back, when I asked why the bundle was a "bargain" when it's the same price if you pre-order each set individually.

Good to know there is more Eighth Doctor on the way. Now, I'm going to speculate over something, and I'd remind you that I am nearly always wrong ... I wonder if these continuing Time War stories have been adapted from the original plans for the continuing War Doctor stories. It seemed likely that had Sir John Hurt been able, he might well have returned to play his Doctor. With plans afoot and ultimately not used, I wonder if these ideas might originally have been destined for The War Doctor? Either way, it's good to hear of these releases.

So it seems I shall have to set aside £20 once a year. Hopefully this gives an opportunity for unused War Doctor ideas.

I went ahead and ordered the bundle for boxes 2 thru 4 because who knows how much more expensive things are going to get as the UK moves further into Brexit and who knows how the US economy is going go after a few years being run by the amateurs currently in charge of my country? That is a lot of bundles in the past few weeks. So that means we are only getting 4 hours of 8th Doctor branded material for the next 3 years? Or is there a concurrent set of releases on the way?

As I secretly suspected the next Paul McGann boxset series will be The Time War. But is anyone else concerned that the boxsets are going to be out yearly? I can't deal with only one McGann boxset per year...
Surely they must have more in store for Mr McGann, and this makes me think that maybe these are going to be adaptations of some of the stories lined up for the late Sir John Hurt, and there's another Eighth Doctor series coming up too. Or a return to the Main Range.

Isn't Paul McGann now a regular cast member of the all-year-round drama 'Holby City?' Perhaps his availability is limited.

Well, I just did the d/l preorder as well. Totally because I want to hear these and want to support the production, and not out of any desire to game the international currency markets.

Who said Paul being in Holby City wouldn't effect how much 8th doc we got.
Although thinking further they be running the 2 different series concurrently say 1 box from either strand every 6 months?

The eighth Doctor run in DWM is well-regarded and as Big Finish have already used Izzy before it wouldn't surprise me if they did an eighth Doctor and Izzy one. Hopefully these boxsets aren't the only eighth Doctor output we're getting, but if McGann's busy in Holby it may well be...

Yeah, I wouldn't want Paul McGann to work himself too hard purely to satisfy us fans.

Hm. I wonder if they're doing one release a year for this Time War series because they're going to rotate it around with the follow up to Doom Coalition? I feel like Liv and Helen aren't going to be in the Time War series with Eight, so I wonder if they'll do TW 1 > DC follow up 1 > TW 2 > DC follow up 2, etc. Might keep things fresh.
