Just finished listening to volume 1. I really enjoyed it but however there are a few things I would like in future volumes. I'm not going to include lower price in future sets as that has already been addressed in the price for volume 2.
1. More original stories. The highlight for me of the box set was episode 3. Providing the quality of these stories stick I'd welcome more original stories and perhaps even a box set of all original stories at some point. Or if more original stories isn't available some adaptations of the unused scripts would be nice
2. Continue with the adaptations. I surprisingly enjoyed the reimagined episodes. I'd be happy if they continue until they do all of them. Even some of the underrated ones like funeral, girl and darling. Obviously leaving the last 2 episodes for the final box set.
3. Have an ending planned out. One of the criticisms of the tv show was magoohan wrote himself into a corner and couldn't get out. Hopefully they won't let history won't repeat itself
4. Get Peter wyngarde and Christopher Benjamin. Both are still alive and if possible it would be great to get them back in the roles played 50 years ago
5. Some more stars as number 2. How bonkers would it be if we could get Tom baker as number 2
6. Don't reveal everything. One of the great things about the original was that we didn't find out everything. Same ahould happen here
7. More regular releases. Do we really have to wait a year for the next set? I know it's all down to availability and schedules but I'd love it if the box sets were only 6 months apart

I'd like a story where the Prisoner is forced to be Number 2 to some new inmate.

I'd like a story where the Prisoner is forced to be Number 2 to some new inmate. Interesting thought but I think "they" would have a hard time forcing him to do something like that, unless they manage to trick him into it. Cheers Tony

Not necessarily, he could be asked, and see it as an opportunity to get "in" and have a good poke around the workings, maybe with the threat that "another number 2 would be less .... Subtle" as an introduction to the "Hammer and Anvil" 2, really set up the antipathy between that 2 and 6.

Am I one of the few who actually wants the format of the second set to be the same as the first? Physically I mean. It's the bit of OCD in me that likes things to match up.

Is it possible for them (I bet Nick has already checked to be fair) to get the Danger Man licence and actually cross pollinate the two like they were meant to be? Despite McGoohan's denials which everyone else said was just about getting around the character's "being the same man".

Definitely, but sadly there was too much complaint about the pricepoint. While I'm not awash with cash, I was very happy to spend a fair bit extra to get such a beautiful, well-thought out package with The Prisoner. It's a special release, and it felt special. To have it "relegated" to standard jewel-case packaging for Volume 2 is a huge disappointment, but one that I'll stomach as the content is king, and that first release was exceptional. If however it means more than one Prisoner release a year, then I'm all for it!

I wish they would dump the "special" packaging all together for all ranges, it does not bode that well when the "special" packaging for the 5th doctor has not sold out yet even with having it's run cut to 5000 I would be happy to have the run increased to every six months, and maybe get Mr Briggs to release a little control and have others write for it too, could you imagine a rob shearman episode!!!

Well, i wasn't too bothered about the delux packaging of vol 1....until it arrived.
I relegated the wife to the spare room and it has been sat on the pillow next to me ever since.
