Good. Rubbish shows should get cancelled. And yet we still have the utter glut of reality shows. Networks should divorce from the ideas of shows like Married at First Sight. At least reality tv was never good. Its been depressing to see the netflix shows which started of as amazing just get worse and worse with every new instalment

This is ether so they can do the Heroes for Hire series or so that Marvel can move the shows to their streaming service from Netflix

6 eps in to Luke Cage...I'm really digging it but I can already see it annoying those that prefer these Marvel Netflix shows to be Superhero actioners. This is a moody meditation on street crime, legacy, race and PTSD. It's gonna get called slow, I can imagine, but it's really just very measured. Misty is pretty much the co-lead which is great. It ain't slow, it's tedious. Cancellation was deserved. And JJ2 was as bad after the awesome first season. Iron Fist got better and these two got worse. Perhaps if they'd limited themselves to ten tight episodes rather than padding out to their "full length" something could have been done. I'm just enjoying AoS so much more, there's only so much po faced nonsense I can sit through. Let's just concentrate on how much better Legion is than any of the Netflix material

Honestly, I don't see the fuss. Disney will have these characters on their streaming platform, which is going to launch in a BIG way, probably under a new banner like Heroes For Hire and Daughters Of The Dragon, so they're only being "cancelled" under this name. They can pick them back up at any point.
More surprised no-one is talking about the absolutely fantastic Daredevil S3 which is very much a sequel to the first season and ignores all the fantastical elements of the other shows.

Absolutely fuming about Luke Cage. Such a great show with such great characters left in such an interesting place. For sure, it needed a shrinking down to 10 episodes like the wonderfully paced Iron Fist S2, but that's more Netflix's own fault than the show's. Such an awful loss, consistently the best Marvel Netflix series.

I've been too busy binge-watching it to talk about it (have the last episode on right now). It's just fantastic, totally reaffirming why it's my favourite of the Marvel Netflix shows. ...but I suspect there are a few shortsighted posters here who will immediately conflate a business-driven cancellation announcement with 'I hate everything therefore it must have sucked and deserved it.'

I liked the first half of Luke Cage, but {Spoiler} the decision to kill off Mahershala Ali's character half way through the season was absolutely the wrong one. It plodded it's way through the rest of the season making it almost painful for me to watch.

The first half was great, the second half was a chore. Also agree on AoS, and especially Legion. It's one of my favorite shows right now. I can't wait till the next season starts.

110% agreed. Mahershala Ali's Cornell was brilliant, one of the most compelling villains the MCU has ever generated. I understand what they were going for by introducing Diamondback, but after the incredible first half of the season, I found the second half plodding, drawn out, and poorly written. Particularly egregious, in my view, is the actor they picked to play Diamondback. The guy came across like a budget Tony Todd, only without the charm, charisma, presence, or slightest of natural acting talent. The contrast between the two halves of the season were so stark as to be startling. Thank goodness Alfre Woodard was so incredible in season 2.

Daredevil season 3 was utterly brilliant. Acting, Pacing, Action everything was top notch. They bounced around the characters in a way that kept my attention all the way through. They even gave Marcy at least one key scene when she could just have been Foggy's girlfriend.
Two utterly amazing villains that we spend time with and get inside their heads just as much as any of the protagonists. Bulleye's skills were wonderfully comic-booky too, the stationary fight was brutal and funny.

Well Daredevil’s been axed now too. Netflix really are just using any reason to get rid of their Marvel properties before Disney+ takes off. How awful for everyone involved.

Looks like all of these shows are going to be leaving Netflix, likely at least in part due to business reasons. A real shame about Daredevil as it was on a hot streak in season 3. I'll be equally sad to hear any news of The Punisher's cancellation.

Daredevil was great. Sad to see it go. But now we have Disney+, whatever that is! There are far too many of these niche subscription channels now. No wonder people resort to illegal downloads! I will probably cancel my Netflix as not much on there really that I am interested in now.
