Time to start bringing back the classic threads! I'll get the ball rolling with one of my favorite.
Last night I listened to Kiss of Death, Part one, and tonight I plabnto listen to Part Two. A little over a year ago I started a quest to listen to all of the Doctor Who audio stories in chronological order, starting with the First Doctor and Susan leaving Gallifrey in The Beginning!
I usually listen to one episode a day. At this rate it's going to take me something like four years to get through it all.
I've listened to all of the stories for the first four Doctors, and am currently up to the Fifth Doctor in the Tegan/Turlough/Nyssa era. Now I listen to new stories for the first four Doctors as soon as I get them, and save all new stories for the other nine Doctors until I reach their proper point in the timeline... except of course when I'm too excited about a story to wait, such as The Sixth Doctor: The Last Adventure.

I finished The Yes Men yesterday and really enjoyed it. It really gave me classic S4 vibes and Chapman was just great as Ben.
Now I am listening to Criss-Cross, only heard the 1st ep but enjoying what I heard so far.

I'm in the middle of the last chapter of The New Adventures of Bernice Summerfield, Vol 2, The Triumph of Sutekh. I really don't like the way The Doctor is portrayed in this. Why does he have to so cowardly and ineffectual in order for Bernice to take center stage? It's not like The Doctor at all. It's keeping me from liking this set as much as I should, since there are so many things that are so great about it. I'd rather not have The Doctor in it if this is the way he is going to be portrayed.
Ok...now that I've finished it, I take it back. It was great!

I finished Criss Cross this week and really enjoyed. Well I tend to enjoy WWII era stories and I love how it was set in Bletchley Park.
I also continue to enjoy Constance (who I was first introduced to in the End of the Line)
But for me the two most interesting characters were the German and British officer whose names escape me.
Looking forward to more Constance & Sixie. I have the next story pre-ordered at least.

I've been listening to Corpse Marker by Chris Boucher in the car. Is it me or does David Collings sound an awful lot like John Hurt? It's a bit slow, and I keep thinking it's a War Doctor story with Leela rather than a Fourth (which works quite well actually) but I am enjoying it so far.
Cheers
Tony

I just finished A Life in a Day (the first story in Dark Eyes 4). Normally I would wait till I finished the whole box set to give my thoughts but that first story was fantastic (it deals with one of my favorite sci-fi concepts).

Normally I would wait till I finished the whole box set to give my thoughts but that first story was fantastic (it deals with one of my favorite sci-fi concepts). I'm doing a relisten through Dark Eyes 1-4 at the moment and that's the episode I'm looking forward to the most. If BF ever wants to release a piece of Dark Eyes for free (the way it did with Counter-Measures episode 2), it should be that one. Great standalone, great showcase for its Doctor, companion and side characters.

Finished Dark Eyes 4....it was alright. In general I liked the two John Dorney stories more than the Matt Fitton ones. But the first story was the only exceptional one for me.
Overall I thought the first two Dark Eyes boxes were the best with the 2nd Two not being bad but being considerably weaker with the exception of the brilliant A Life in the Day and the very entertaining Masterplan
But overall I'd say I enjoyed Molly (and I am glad the character had one last hurrah) and Liv and the Master.
Didn't really care much for the Eminence and the Dalek Time Controller as villains

Since I last posted I finished Kiss of Death, listened to all of Rat Trap, and tonight plan to listen to The Emerald Tiger Part Three in my daily dose of the Fifth Doctor (currently with Nyssa, Tegan, & Turlough).
I've also listened to The Yes Men and Prisoners of the Lake. Loving the new full-cast narrated format!

Quotes of the weeks... (quotes just before the closure were from Havoc of Empires and Suburban Hell) 2 weeks ago (not from Doctor Who, not spoken by Leela) "I could recruit at the nearest University if I wanted a muppet on the payroll"
from last week "Trust me. I haven't got a clue what I'm doing."

I've been listening to the "Star Wars: The Original Radio Drama" audio book that I got in my Star Wars Humble Bundle and loving every minute. And it makes me so happy to hear the Star Wars theme at the start and finish of every chapter.
