Family Matters (Lisa McMullin)
Have been enjoying these Paternoster Gang sets as of late and I do enjoy how they further developed Jenny’s character in this. Unfortunately, I found the overall message of the piece extremely heavy handed with Madame Vastra’s final thoughts coming across very much like a P.S.A.

Just finished Warzone...
An underrated gem this one, which gets overshadowed by Conversion (which I think is less effective). Definitely one of the more interesting story-arcs that BF have produced for a while. Cannot wait to return to this arc later in the year...

First time ever I am looking forward to the 5th Doctor releases.

Definitely one of the more interesting story-arcs that BF have produced for a while. Cannot wait to return to this arc later in the year... I agree that Warzone was a fantastic story - clever sci-fi with an excellent premise, good twists*, consequences for our main cast. All in an hour! * The meta twist of having the FIRST story be a Cyberman story as well was brilliant - villain reveals don't usually work with BF as the monsters are on the cover (and listed in the cast) but they found a great way around it!

Whatever Remains (Robert Valentine)
A much better instalment. Very much a Holmesian mystery as I am sure many others have already said. Love the idea that we’re going to delve further into Silurian history and mythology. Just the sort of thing I wanted from this series.
Even though I am sure this would never happen, I’d love to see a crossover featuring Sherlock Holmes. A clash of egos whilst hinting at his and Dr Watson’s status as quasi-real/fictional beings could be interesting.

I've been doing an unplanned Jago and Lightfoot re-listen. Once I started one set I just had to keep going. I didn't realize how much I missed that theme song.

Revisited Doctor Who: Ghost Walk the other day, that was quite nice. I like this one... One of the highlights of Davison's releases in the past couple of years. Darkly comical and spooky as well... Very atmospheric for an audio adventure. Also has the bonus of having Sacha Dwhan in it too.

The Prisoner 3.1: Free for All (on radio 4xtra)
England v Australia (day 4, Trent Bridge 2013 test match). England well on top, the Aussies need to bat for a day and a half in their last innings to save the game.

Subterranea (Jonathan Morris)
Tried giving this one another go after a long time. Still isn’t doing it for me. I like the Victorian Mole people but I feel like the Silex (due to being big stomping robots) just aren’t effective on audio.
Also can’t help shake the feeling that this was originally written as a four parter but had to cut down to merely a hour. So many plot points are either rushed or not satisfactorily expanded upon.

ATA Girl. Been sitting on this one for a good long while. Really enjoyed the first two stories. Third one is great, but Christ does it get bleak! (That one scene in particular ) Not too big on the final story. Felt like it was spinning plates to build up to a finale that never quite came. How's the second one if anyone's heard it?

Conversion.....I really do like this ruthless & desperate 5th Doctor. It makes for a nice change of pace from the most amiable of Doctors.
