Got thru Unregenerate, Council of Nicea, and Terror Firma today, not a bad one in the bunch. Though the man introduced in Unregenerate who called himself Clint Eastwood, would have made a great companion. Just sayin.

Jago & Lightfoot 10. The Case Of The Missing Gasogene. Boy, did it make me laugh. It was a whole lot of fun.

I've heard some pretty mixed things about Unregenerate!, so it's great to see a positive response. I might give it a listen to see how well it works as an epilogue to The Brink of Death. As for me tonight, I think I'll finish up the first Brewster trilogy with Time Reef/A Perfect World. EDIT: Finished it. I enjoyed how the second story complimented the romantic elements of the first. It made for a cohesive listening experience having the two stories linked in that way as it also helped, in the broader sense, of progressing Brewster's character arc. One could almost say that Time Reef is incomplete without A Perfect World; without the latter, the former has less impact. A satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.

I loved Unregenrate, I haven't listened to many of the main range so far, about 15 of them, in consecutive order(that's confusing), but the idea of Gallifreyians being the bad guys, is nice. Them experimenting on humans, and other species in order to advance their own race in a possible future makes a nice plotline, and it's the first of any BF audio's that I have heard that feature Mel, and it gives, at least me, another side to her personality that the tv episodes never had time to get to.

On episode three of Dalek Empire III - While David Tennant's Galanar sounds pretty distinct from his Doctor, there was a part a few minutes ago where he was ranting and raving and then his voice went all high for a single line. Pure Tenth Doctor.

Today was The Lady of Mercia Part Two, which I absolutely LOVED! I also listened to Torchwood: Fall To Earth, which was also excellent. Some wonderful humor, and of course that inevitable gut-wrenching moment that made me say to myself "But of course... this is Torchwood." Big Finish is doing a wonderful job on this series. I only hope we'll actually get all the cast together someday.
I also took advantage of this weekend's sale to purchase Sherlock Holmes: The Final Problem/The Empty House as well as one of the Big Finish Drama Showcase releases, Unintelligent Design. I'd love to buy a couple more at those prices but after having already bought this month's Torchwood and Short Trips this week, I'm out of money.

Yet another reason I should check out Children of Earth if I get the time. Tonight was Brotherhood of the Daleks, and boy was that brilliant. Alan Barnes deserves a medal for that one, if he doesn't have one already for The Girl Who Never Was. More rewarding on multiple listens I'd say.

I finished J & L 10 today. I enjoyed this, as always, and was completely thrown by the ending.

This week's quote of the week has to be "If you could, panic quietly, please. I don't want you to upset your co-workers"
and an extra from a story with the Doctor "Betrayed by my own stowaway"
(And if you are interested [or not] the unidentified quotes last time were from Jago & Litefoot:The Hourglass Killers and Pathfinder Legends:Sins of the Saviours)

Today it is Doom Coalition. I am really enjoying it. The Red Lady is truly a cut above and one of the strongest things BF has released this yerar.

In honor of the new 10th Doctor stories I listened to Dead Air by James Goss and performed by Tennant. Had a great time with it, the story is well paced and the concept for the monster is a neat idea.

Tonight was The Lady of Mercia, Part Four. I absolutely loved this story! I enjoy a good historical and a good time travel story, and this one had the perfect blend of both.

I'm in the middle of 1001 Nights. A fairly clever way to do an anthology with a twist.

Had a great time with it, the story is well paced and the concept for the monster is a neat idea. Ooh my favourite NSA audio so far. It's also (I believe) the only one fully performed rather than narrated. Bit more like a Companion Chronicle told by the Doctor than a straight-up audiobook. Yesterday I finished off my own David Tennant thing - Dalek Empire 3 - it was fantastic. Absolutely the top of the range. As much as I like Suz, Alby and Kalendorf, DE3 easily beats the first two series out in terms of character, scale, tragedy and overall plot. Loved it. Then I moved onto DE4, which seems more of a straightforward action story with a clear-cut hero but we'll see where it goes. I like it so far.
