Finished "The Holy Terror". Ironic that such a good play was such a poor seller (I believe it's caught up a bit over the years)

Aquitaine starring 5 and his second tardis team
i would love travel back in time and play some of these 5th doctor audios for JNT and say "see this is how good this team can be"
i tried listening to the waters of amsterdam but i thought it was awful the cast didnt even seem to be into
now the peterloo massacre
i really like the trio of nyssa, tegan, and doctor ever since the lost stories the elite, and children of seth
hexagoria not so much

End of Silence (Alex Crowe)
In which another new Tomorrow People is introduced.
Although, considering the ranges inevitable cancellation it’s just another sad case really of ‘What could have been....”

MR: The Star Men - a relisten, let's see if I rate it better this time (I remember parts of it, and ideas it used, were very good) Finished it, and overall it is a pretty good story, not to mention a big story, and kudos to Andrew Smith for pulling it all in to a coherent narrative. I love the first episode, with the 'lost' ship Joseph Kessler suddenly reappearing, but the general character doesn't sound very general-like and the Star Men could have been a bit weirder and more alien. Very enjoyable, 7 out of 10.

3DA Vol 7
(Evocative once again but also the boldest BF have been with an Era. A story they would've tried on TV but they'd blown their budget and a story they should've tried with Casting and theme sentiments that may've been wrongly considered at the time as too progressive.)

Rachel (Nigel Fairs)
This one is particularly frustrating to talk about as its obviously merely part one of a much larger story but for a variety of reasons it never came to pass. Ultimately, ending the series on a gripping and cracking cliffhanger but with so many questions left unanswered in the process.
Personally, I adored the range and the direction it was taking and heading towards and having now listened to all of it I have to say it’s probably one of the best things Big Finish have ever produced.
It’s been one hell of a ride I can tell you, but I wish we had had just a bit more time together.

Might you be interested, here is the link Nigel Fairs Part One

im listening to stranded 2. i have really warmed up to this series and this big cast. i love all the quiet moments and character development. has liv chenka quietly but steadily
become the eighth doctor's best companion? i know these things are subjective but she's certainly in the conversation. i wish i had all 4 volumes to just listen all the way thru.
also i wouldnt mind if they continue this storyline past volume 4. this whole thing seems new and fresh to me. none of the other doctors are doing stuff like this now. i guess
you can say 3. im not a fan of the 3rd doctor so ive been skipping those releases. i am getting the next one though with liz sladen daughter playing sarah jane.
i wish they would do a story where the doctor settles down for a bit on another futuristic planet. i had a dream about a year ago where the doctor was trouble shooter on the
biggest space station in the universe. it was so big that it crossed over thru multiple dimensions. i thought i was brilliant then i realized i was ripping off valerian and the
city of a thousand planets

Started listening to The latest 3DA First episode halfway through its alright I got some issues with the story/Characters which doesn’t make it authentic to the era As someone said it’s like an ITV version of Marvels The winter soldier (one of the better MCU films)

Primeval (Lance Parkin) Starts off quite slow and then ends up becoming a fascinating look at Ancient Trakken culture. Another Lance Parkin story (after Davros, Benny's Story, Cold Fusion, et al.) and another personal favourite. I think it might've been the first one he did for Big Finish. The Five/Nyssa "season" of stories, including this one, commonly tapped into the Androzani interpretation of the Fifth Doctor. An incarnation who became defined by his singeminded belief that he'd do whatever it took to make sure his friends came out alive. The eventual outcome of such a drive is more obvious these days with the stories about Marc, but before then, Primeval was one of the few stories to address that theme with the Fifth Doctor. His Faustian pact forged with Kwundaar. Where is the line with this incarnation? The moral relativity he understands, but the Trakenites themselves don't. It's a rather interesting interpretation of a less enlightened Traken, one that treats even the possibility of ethical ambiguity as unswervingly evil. That's part of their naivity. Things must be good or evil, they cannot be both. Tellingly, even Nyssa can't stand it after a while (and, as it turns out, that idealisation doesn't face up to the reality of Traken itself). That's an interesting juxtaposition with The Keeper of Traken and The Guardians of Serenity where evil is treated almost like a physical force in the Union, but the ambiguity of people themselves is quite evident.

Iceberg (Grace Knight)
I always love stories set in the early days of Owen’s time at Torchwood. Really adds an extra dimension to his character which considering his character in the first series was very much needed.
