Prisoners of the Lake (Justin Richards) Controversial opinion, maybe, but I wouldn’t mind had they kept the narration for future Third Doctor Adventures going forward. I agree with you to a point. I really liked the narration and at the time I thought it was the only way we would get the Brigadier in these stories. However, I love John Culshaw's homage to him so much. I'm glad BF was forced to go that route instead. (Although who knows, they might have anyway.)

I've been saving it, but today feels right to listen to the last episode of Star Cops: Mars 2, The Highest Ground.

Year of the Pig (Matthew Sweet)
Admittedly, not a lot actually happens in this. But the character of Toby the Pig and the simply sumptuous and rich dialogue makes up for it.

Castle Hydra from Shadow of the Daleks 2.
7 out of 8 stories down and I haven't the foggiest what is going on, but I'm just enjoying the slightly disturbing ride.

Klein’s Story and Survival of the Fittest
I love the alternate 8 we see here, basically one who never actually gave up his role as Time’s Champion due to circumstance. I also love the Vrill as an idea for an alien, even if the three parter feels a little flat after A Thousand Tiny Wings and Klein’s Story.

Assassin in the Limelight (Robert Ross)
Probably the best story out of all the tales penned by Robert Ross.

Hello again In October this year a certain Mr Thomas Hector Schofield will enter his place of work, St Garts in London. It's his birthday and not a day he will forget in a hurry. In celebration of this event I have started listening to the Doctor, Ace and Hex sequence of stories.
The Harvest is excellent, and such a good intro story for a companion. Hex is a great addition to the Seventh Doctor and Ace TARDIS crew. Philip Olivier plays the character with such vulnerability and conviction. Sylvester McCoy is very funny in this too. I tried to imagine it being the first story in a new series called Doctor Who. It works very well as a jumping on point for new listeners with an interesting twist on the Cybermen.I also like the way Ace works with Hex. Their relationship is one of the highlights of this sequence of stories.

Quite the sombre piece I must say.

It goes straight into it. Doctor calling out for Peri then literally walks into "Amy"..
