Wrapping up New Recruit. It's mostly a River/Liz buddy-cop vehicle, and is pretty good. Kinda wish the Brigadier had a bit more of a role, but even so.
Next up I'm either diving into UNIT or Counter-Measures.

Today I decided to revisit the story I revisit the most often - Doctor Who and the Pirates. This story, for me, never ever fails to bring a smile to my face when I’m feeling down - especially when I’m feeling down. Thankfully today I just really wanted to revisit it for no particular reason. Still a 10/10 for me.

It's basically the perfect Doctor Who story. So, so, so good.

I think my iTunes library said 26 last time I checked, but I feel like I’ve listened to the story many more times than that.

White Heat (Gemma Langford)
After listening to this release, I’m starting to wonder if there is such a thing as having an antagonist who is too over the top even for the Avengers!

Now You See Him... (John Dorney)
Definitely the best story of an otherwise mixed set.

(A very good intro to a believable and overall likable Companion)

The Glorious Revolution
An interesting historical, with Jamie’s personal stake in events being especially well plus a very good cliffhanger. I really liked the music too.

Well I'll post this in the RIGHT thread for once.
Missy Series 02. Liked it.
Gonna go hide my face in my pillows from embarrassment now.

Just finished my last Companion Chronicle.
You know, when I first got into Big Finish, I didn't see any appeal to the range. I couldn't imagine myself ever spending a dime on the CCs. If there's no Doctor, there's no point. But now... I am so glad I gave them a chance -- there are some really great stories here.
Anyway, that last CC has me pretty excited for Counter-Measures (can you guess which one it was?) so I'm probably gonna dive into that first set soon. But first, as a sort of palate cleanser... it's time for 4DA: Wrath if the Iceni.
Which has Tom Baker and Louise Jameson and features Boudicca and was written by John Dorney. Gotta say, I'm pretty hyped.
