The title for #223 has been revealed - "Zaltys." www.bigfinish.com/releases/v/zaltys-1253I'm expecting either a historical story, based on what I read on Wikipedia, or POSSIBLY something related to the Mara - y'know, Zaltys is a snake, the Mara's a snake... Connections have been made on less information than that!

I'm thinking something set in Lithuania. Žaltys is the name of a legendary creature that originated from there.

But Conundrum is apart of the Alternate arc isnt it? It is, yes. I'd rather not see them adapt any of the Alternate Universe arc cause I don't want them to divorce any of the stories from the arc the way they did with Damaged Goods (which was more in the periphery in its own arc so it matters a little less IMO). After all, two of the stories involve the Brigadier and Benton and one involves Liz. So a straight five-story adaptation is out of the question without massive changes. Could Head Games be adapted without Conundrum? (I have yet to read it although I did pick up a copy in December.) Or is it so reliant on an understanding of Conundrum that an adaptation would be pointless? ...in any case, I'm pretty sure they're just going to bulldoze right over Head Games without remorse, leaving it flattened and easily stackable somewhere between Spiral Scratch and World Game. Also as someone who has read all the VNAs up to Zamper, the Alternate Universe arc is easily left out. Yes Conundrum leads into No Future, but you could easily make it a cliffhanger

I wonder how closely Order and Absolute Power will tie into one another. For instance, perhaps the Doctor and Constance bring order to a kingdom or planet, only to find out the ruler they put on the throne has become an absolute tyrant in the next? No idea what Quicksilver might turn out to be like, but I do expect this trilogy to connect in some way, shape, or form to the missing Mr. Clarke. I have a feeling that 2017's Sixth Doctor trilogy will finally wrap up some the Peri Brown arc from 2014. The short titles of all 3 made me wonder if they would be all linked The Silver in the last title made me think this might be something for the Cybermen anniversary.. (I believe Cybermen do want order and power so it could fit together)

BF Podcast Exclusive The Star Men, The Contingency Club and Zaltys is a 5th Adric Tegan and Nyssa Trilogy running Jan-March 2017 further details due later in the year. Regards mark687 On one hand, season 19! On the other, oh god it's yet another Fifth Doctor trilogy with Nyssa. The last time the Fifth Doctor spent a trilogy without the last Trakenite was 2009 for crying out loud! At least there's Memory Bank to look forward to.

Big Finish are going to wear out their magic wands at the rate they are granting my wishes. By the time they get us Martha Jones and Leela gets to guest in the MR, I'll hardly even know what to wish for next. I'm sure I'll have to grant their wish and sub to the MR through 223. On one hand, season 19! On the other, oh god it's yet another Fifth Doctor trilogy with Nyssa. Lol! I think Sarah Sutton has by far the most pleasant voice of any Fifth Doctor companion, and I'd be hard pressed to think of anyone who does a better job making me think I'm actually listening to a vintage story.

Lets hope that each story gives each member of the TARDIS crew a good role in the story. Many of the 5th/Tegan/Turlough/older Nyssa stories would have one companion be either generic companion or sidelined (Turlough got this most often).

I've just seen - and I don't think this has been previously mentioned - that the mighty John Savident has been cast in November's 'Order' story. What a brilliant actor! He's billed fourth, just behind Nicholas Briggs, who is also in the cast.
