I love the three of them, but Death and the Queen has to be my favourite. I dunno why. Perhaps because it's very dark and gloomy.

My favourite is the Time Reaver cover. It looks very much like a story from 2008.
Still surprised the limited edition set hasn't sold out yet. What's happened to all the fangirls?

I'm just the same (it reminds me I have to order it quickly...). I mean, I'm young, I really like Ten (but I'm not a fanboy!), I prefer to buy the digital version (mainly because it's cheaper than the CDs, which also have shipping fee. It's even cheaper in France than in the UK, in theory)... But I will still order the physical copy, because of its special features, and because of the "collector" factor. Maybe the fangirls don't know about Tennant recording for Big Finish...

It just hit me all over again that we're getting 10th Doctor audios. I really, really can't wait to hear these. The covers are nicely done, each one is effective. Death and The Queen's cover is probably the most effective, though it's safe to say that it's the best of an already great bunch.

It's possible that these Ten fans don't have the same love for audio dramas that the rest of us do and would prefer to see Tennant in the role again rather than hear him. Cheers Tony

Cheers Tony If the stereotypes are true, then I guess a lot of the "fan girls" would prefer a medium where they can actually see him.

As someone who spoke to one of these "fan girls" about it, the discussion literally went like this: Me: Tennant's coming back! Fangirl: Oh my god, really?! Me: Yeah, he's doing some audio plays, I've told you about them before. Fangirl: Uuuugh, no, that's ****, this audio stuff's pointless. So yeah, imagine the typical reservations some people have about audio, exaggerated 1000 times.

Must be the same fangirls who dismissed Capaldi because he's *shock horror* OLD! instead of a good looking young man. Can we have a Planet of the Fangirls story where the Twelfth Doctor teaches them how to judge beyond looks and sexiness, and factor in acting ability as well? I suppose there is an older generation who finds Capaldi sexy.

At least Donna is wearing a wider variety of outfits than the usual go-to of her Stolen Earth/Journey's End get-up.

Fangirls who are obsessed with watching David tennant aren't going to bother with the audios due to being unable to see him.

Even assuming that fangirls only like Tennant for his physical charms (an assumption that strikes me as a rather over-hasty generalization, especially in light of the fangirls I am acquainted with,) surely they'd find his voice appealing? I think the problem is with general (in America, at least) disengagement with audio as a medium.

Well people may be buying the DL release instead of the CD because of the cost. That's what I did. I am very much looking forward to it but it's not somethingI personally need on CD.
I think it's wrong to think David Tennant fans are so shallow they only care about his looks.
And while yes there are always going to be people not interested in audio that's true for all Who fans not just 10th Doctor ones.

I think the problem is with general (in America, at least) disengagement with audio as a medium. That's the main reason the Stargate range didn't work out. The main Stargate fanbase in the US were turned off from audio even before realising that the Big Finish material was the only new performed material for SG-1 and Atlantis after the SG-1 film Continuum and the end of Universe. I'm pretty sure that hype around initial release aside, the only time any major interest was shown in the range was the sale in 2013, and there wasn't much talk on the old forum about Big Finish losing the licence in early 2014. The Tenth Doctor should do well enough without the presence and funds from the shallow fangirls. The fact that the book set is exclusive from the Big Finish website should help.

Well Dark Shadows is a US property that succeeded right. It is interesting to see some ranges that succeed and others don't.
But I am sure the 10th Doctor Adventures will do more than fine for Big Finish.
