Cool. I can finally complete my collection with "Assassin in the Limelight". That one fits a hole in collection nicely as well. Even though I don't need much, this sale makes me happy. It's a nice tribute to Maggie Stables and her wonderful work for BF.

It's one of the last five stories I need to complete my 1-200 Main Range collection! Well, was one of the last ones (down to three now, since I added The Defectors to my order for the sake of it).

It's one of only 2 stories in the Everlyn run that's good not Great and its hardly ever reduced l think it was a Listener's DL about a year ago and it may've been a Series Saturday offer before that.

I have all of these except the companion chronicle and the Sarah Jane adventure. Think I'll pass on this sale.

Funny, I needed Assassin in The Limelight, too. I wonder if there will be a little run on that release in the Big Finish stock room this weekend.

I haven't been sure that I'm going to like Assassin in the Limelight very much ("other than that, how did you like the play, Mr. Lincoln?") so it's the only MR release with Maggie that I'm still missing, but no way I am turning down something with Maggie Stables forever and especially not with this wonderful sale... so now I own it.
Not sure how I'm going to make it to Monday without making a small CD order that includes Real Time, that one is way overdue. I'm even very seriously toying with the idea of getting the first season of Bernice Summerfield, in spite of where that could lead to (such as another ten seasons and desperately trying to shove a big box of Bennie CDs that I don't actually have room for under some piece of furniture or other).

The Companion Chronicles go on sale fairly often, so I can wait till a different sale.
And I'm not ready to dive into the Sarah Jane stories yet. To be honest, the trailers don't really grab me.

I'm not ready to dive into the Sarah Jane stories yet. The regular existing Sarah Jane Smith bundles (especially CD) are already VERY GOOD value. This provides a leisurely option to buy at one's convenience, which nullifies the need to worry about this weekend sale's deadline. And, it's not exactly a secret that The Tao Connection is arguably Sarah Jane's weakest Big Finish adventure.

Good news if you're feeling a bit wary about the opening adventures, I've heard that Series 1 and 2 are more or less self-contained, so you can skip one and go almost immediately to the next. Test of Nerve was pretty exciting and painted a very different picture of Sarah Jane to the one I'm used to. It seems the early 2000s weren't very kind to her.

I bought the download a while ago, as dictated by the Completionist in me. It's not as good as most Sixth and Evelyn stories, but far from the worst of Big Finish's output.

Weird, Assassin in the Limelight was the only Evelyn story I was missing too.

Evelyn Smythe is my favorite BF companion. I wish they took more chances like they did when they crated her. Thinking outside the box sometimes yields terrific results.

I passed it over on a sale about... two years ago, I think? Way back, I remember. I think I held off on buying it at full price because of the writer behind it, since I feel 50/50 on his stories. I liked Medicinal Purposes, but admit it was a bit aimless; Pier Pressure, though... what a slog. Thirty minutes of story in a two-hour package. So I was kind of hoping Assassin in the Limelight would go on sale, since I was hesitant to nab it. (Then again, one of the last three I need for the first 200 is The Dark Husband, and I've heard so much ill about it I fear paying full price on it!)...While I'm at it, I'll also admit I went back and bought physical copies of The Nowhere Place and A Death in the Family, since I'm trying to get in the habit of picking up physical copies of my favorites when I see them on sale.

I've started doing the same. Had to pick up "Night Thoughts" during the 51-100 sale. Next time, I'm gonna try and get "Live 34" and "The Reaping" if I can.

Yeah, I've actually looked at the bundles for the Sarah Jane stories and will go with that buying option when I'm ready to dive into that range.
