Dark Shadows 48 - Deliver Us from Evil

How very curious, as I found a somewhat creased and battered copy of the book in a peculiar little antique and second-hand shop run by a very odd couple who kept a variety of children of varying ages in a room above the shop. I managed to grab it from the shelf before a large, grey-haired gentleman in dark glasses could seize it in his black leather-gloved grasp. But he took it in good stead and went away chuckling about how he'd literally come in for a second hand and muttering something about a 'dreadful curse that will befall anyone who attempts to take the book back across the borders that separate the strange and frightening world of parallel time from our own realm.' I would have asked for an explanation but then some woman with flame red hair and flaring nostrils asked me to take a look at a pendant she'd found and the next thing I knew I was at home with the book clutched in my hand... my black leather-gloved hand that seems to clutch and grasp with a will of its own... (DAH-DAH-DAAAAAH...)

Oh, okay, yes, I may very well have made it myself using the old VHS cover and a piece of publicity artwork along with the 'House of Dark Shadows' cover as a template. At least that's what the woman with the nostrils and the pendant tells me...
