Seeing this thread popup again made me continue my rewatch. I'm at 191, so close to Barnabas I can almost taste it and then the fun can really begin.

225/226, yay for double numbered episodes! I'm really loving these early Barnabas episodes where he's a straight villain. He's got such a charm about him and John Karlan as Willie in these episodes are at his best.

now onto disc 13 - episode 111 ... oh wait it's 113 nearing the end of the "kill Bill" storyline (though I have already watched discs 25 and 26 from the release to tie in with the movie)

Had the show back on the last couple days, from 214 yesterday to 219 right now. Jason McGuire has really worn out his welcome, but I'm digging this Willie Loomis stuff.

Up to 228. Had a nice run of Barnabas/Willie Loomis and Barnabas/Maggie stories there, but we seem to have slid back into boring Jason McGuire-ville. Hopefully this business with the locked room in the basement goes somewhere interesting.

234. After posting that above, the Jason story kinda just didn't happen and we went right back into Barnabas/Maggie/Willie. I am currently hip-deep in that story and I am HERE FOR IT.

Been running at this pretty hard in anticipation of a few things I had/have coming up, namely (per Zagreus 's chronology) finally inserting an audio story during the run of the show, which I did yesterday, and the first episode in colour (which I've not yet reached). Mercifully finally done with the Jason McGuire story, I was so very done with that character, so I was quite happy with that. Not quite sure where things are going right now....Maggie has been rather sidelined, but that's introduced Julia Hoffman who I know is with the show for the rest of its run and turns up in Bloodline so I presume that'll lead somewhere interesting. Meanwhile Elizabeth's mystery has been concluded so I'm not sure what they're doing with her, and at the moment it seems as though they're trying to repeat the Barnabas/Maggie story with Barnabas/Vicki, which isn't exciting me very much. Oh yeah, and that one episode where Sheriff Patterson randomly has a mustache EDIT: Oh and also Burke Devlin 2.0. Jeez he's terrible, and he looks like he's about a thousand years older than Vicki so their relationship went from being odd to being just plain creepy as hell lol

I apparently started my eight-and-a-half month run-through of 'Dark Shadows' a little over five years ago... Huh, time does fly!

Yup...takes ages haha
I seem to keep coming at it in jumps and starts--I'll sprint at it real hard and make a ton of headway, then lose interest and not come back to it for months at a time. Then I'll suddenly remember why I was enjoying it so much, and do the same thing all over again. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Episode 300! Always a fun time and at the point where the show really starts to get going. I love how cold Julia is at her introduction, but it's around this time where we get that kind of dragged out saga of the Vicki/Burke/Barnabas love triangle. I can't be the only one who was actively rooting for Burke and Vicki to get together so we can do something more interesting than Barnabas' pining?

On Episode 66 now.
I like seeing mistakes like a camera being in the wrong place entirely - I see it happen all the time in news but it’s always refreshing to see other people making human mistakes. Makes me feel less self-conscious about my own!
