World enough and time. To this day, I think the series 10 finale is the best so far. I just love the whole time-jumps and the pacing and the reveals and the whole idea really. And I like when the Cybermen are suitably creepy and shown in all their body horror.

I've been dipping into some Eleventh Doctor era stuff from his first series. Fun times.

Watching The Pilot for the fifth time because S10 never gets old. My fave companion TARDIS intro ever. Capaldis joy at reciting the acronym, then the "You're safe in here....you're safe in here and you always will be" delivery. Perfect.

Capaldis joy at reciting the acronym, then the "You're safe in here....you're safe in here and you always will be" delivery. Perfect. Right? It's so good! And there are so many lovely little subtleties, like the references to Susan & Capaldi's performance indicating that he sees some of her in Bill, and the way they show the changing of the seasons to indicate the passage of time. There's just so much crammed into so short an episode! If Capaldi ever comes to Big Finish, and they get Pearl Mackie , too, they could fit so many boxsets in-between the first and last scenes of The Pilot.
(Random note: looked up Mackie on the TARDIS wiki to make sure I spelled her name correctly, and was rather shocked to see Nicholas Briggs as an "other actor" for Bill.)

Keep this a secret, but there are those who suggest that The Krotons isn't all that good. I always enjoy it - the regulars are on great form, the location filming is excellent and the booming voices of the chrystalline monsters are electrifying. So what if they wear featureless skirts beneath their complex and robotic upper halves - we only see them for a few seconds. The supporting cast are often engagingly over-the-top, the cliffhangers are wonderful, and there's a nicely satisfying finale. Dynatrope-tastic!

I'm watching some favourites from the latest three Doctors that I don't see mentioned quite as much as perhaps they should be.
11th Doctor - The Beast Below. I really like this apocalyptic child's nightmare. I'm not a fan of Amy, but she's quite likeable in this.
12th Doctor - Under the Lake/Before the Flood. I loved the two-part element of many of the stories from Series 9, and the fact that you could also watch both episodes independently. Love the Fisher King and the locations here!
13th Doctor - The Ghost Monument. The Doctor without the TARDIS. Ryan, Graham and Yaz, who had never gone much further than the end of their respective roads, suddenly find themselves in a glorious alien landscape. The story is a slight one, but I loved the ribbon creatures and the final recovery of the TARDIS is pretty emotional.

As it’s on iPlayer, I’m revisiting Class. I’ll be slotting in audios roughly where I believe they belong too, which will be a first listen to Volumes 3 & 4.
Done the first two episodes and honestly, I don’t think Class deserves its reputation. There are problems and odd choices here and there (why so many damn pop songs), but I enjoyed them both so far.

And I agree with you sherlock, the show received a harsher reception than it deserved - I get it's not for everyone, but it really could have found its feet in a second season...
